I do empathize with you. I'm saying this as someone who had serious academic difficulty this semester due to reading fanfic when I should have been writing papers and studying. But the fault of that laid entirely with me and my poor impulse control and time management -- not with fanfic, or fandom, or the shows I obsess over.

75. I am 18 years old and a huuuuuge Artemis Fowl fan, and I felt exactly the same way as you do. Then I met Eoin Colfer at the London Expo last October (which was a huge surprise to me as well as one of the best days of my life) and he told me he loves the fact he has older fans. Beating it isn't as much fun as playing it, but you should beat it so you can see the scene with Radian at least.
