I'm loving all the SGA secrets -- SGA represent!! (Also, Rodney is delicious.)

156. Bret Easton Ellis secret! alkjasljkdfsj I LOVE YOU, OP. And yes, I think you might be right about that. I ship Victor/Victor for some of the same reasons. :)

Also? That screencap of Patrick is amazing.

[identity profile] fandaban.livejournal.com 2008-06-03 02:03 am (UTC)(link)
110. Kurapika would have been a fabulous girl. I'd definitely ship him with Leorio either way though too. ♥

158. Yes! ♥ While his constant winning was annoying and overly cliché, he really is the "prince" and deserves it. Now who does this leave the "princess" title for? Fuji? XD

118

[identity profile] pimpfork.livejournal.com 2008-06-03 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
We're having a reunion! Go in there :D

143. …WHAAA?

147. Haha, yeah!

156. They'd be attracted to each other by their sick and twisted lust for power. And then they'd probably kill each other. >>'

158. Yaaay! -cheers-
(( I might make a "screw you, fandom (etc)" icon now. That's an awesome line. XD; ))

No, I hate it because it looks like shit, is poorly slapped together and NOT animation ON A CARTOON NETWORK. It's an insult to people who do beautiful animation and would kill to have a show on that channel. It's just a bonus hate because it thinks it's deeper then it is. People who think it's dumb are dense? I get that it's absurdist, but that's not a hard descriptive word to achieve. I've seen cleverer shows on the Disney's old One Saturday Morning.

Trying to put it in a category (existentialism) with Nietzsche, or Sartre is insulting.

[identity profile] inappropriate.livejournal.com 2008-06-03 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
158. WOOOOOOOOORD.

Seems like everyone and their mother hates him now, even some people I know who used to love him hate him. :/

[identity profile] perfectdesign.livejournal.com 2008-06-03 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
I absolutely love that there's some Tim and Eric and Tom Goes to the Mayor secrets :)

156 - WORLD OF YES. Must reread asap.

166 - Didn't HATE, but yes. Agreed.

[identity profile] myfavoriteshirt.livejournal.com 2008-06-03 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
Seriously true. I know that my opinion on their relationship has no effect blah blah blah blah. But I still think she's stucky up goody two shoes. And I just can't like her. she makes it impossible.

Re: 115

(Anonymous) 2008-06-03 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
I agree with you, but just to be on the same page, what do you think makes her a stuck up goody two shoes?

Cause I'm not sure that what I think is what other people think.

Ahahahaha holy cow. Awesome secret. I'm just afraid that if I ever had a dream like that, Toby WOULD be my type...

151. You really don't have to worry about that.
Virtually no one that has to do with the meme even KNOWS where it's from, so it won't matter.

132

[identity profile] shinshokuinsane.livejournal.com 2008-06-03 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
132. Coincidentally, this is the best film OF ALL TIME.

The scene with the yellow flower makes me cry.

137. OH MY GOD BRUCE COVILLE BOOKS!!!! I LOVED THOSE AS A KID!

I had a THING for SNOUT when I was younger. I wanted a piece of that so bad. Hell, I should write slashy fanfic for those. God knows it would be hot as hell. It's like aliens and midgets in one!

I wouldn't even feel that bad. There were the gay guys in Skull of Truth, so clearly he wouldn't cry into his pillow at night at the basic idea of his characters being gay, right? ... Fuck, I'm already trying to rationalize this.

Re: 137

(Anonymous) 2008-06-03 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
"The room shared by Grakker and Snout is private"

"'He told you not to move!' snapped Grakker, kneeling beside the fallen alien. With a gentleness that surprised me, he lifted Snout's head into his lap."

"'I'm bonded to Grakker, so I should be able to locate him with my mind'... When he saw the crushed box, the dangling arm, his eyes were wide and he looked so sad I nearly began to cry myself."

"'I would do it myself,' said Grakker gruffly, 'had Snout seen fit to contact me instead of you.' I started to say something, then stopped when I had the astonishing realization that Grakker was jealous!

"Snout was last to say good-bye to them. 'Farewell, my captain,' he whispered, embracing Grakker. To my surprise, Grakker hugged him back. 'Farewell, faithful friend,' he growled. 'Be well until we meet again. That's an order.'"

I don't think he'd cry into a pillow, no.

Damn you for reminding me of that. For a solid week I only had to think of the theme music to start crying.

I did that once. xD Only once though, but I was in public too. During school! My teacher made me show it to the class.

....Well, it's too bad for the people who won't read the book, but I'm excited for myself. :[

134. First one made me think of Kurogane/Syaoran, wtf. Don't even think Kurogane has a canon age.

166. You mean...someone else knows that this version wasn't the original and loves Angela Lansbury's character much more than Helena Bonham Carter's?

Thank you for posting this. It's nice to see someone else appreciated a good thing before some big-shot in Hollywood got a hold of it. ♥

REUNION GOING FOR YOUR SAKE! And we'll probably try to keep it going on regularly for awhile.

147 - Me too. I only cried when Amber died because Wilson [don't know actor's name] is a fucking good actor and made me cry when he was. However, when House's bitchin' cane broke, I was genuinely sad. You are not alone.

166 - I cannot read that. Can anyone help me out, please?

Too big 5 - Don't feel ashamed for liking. I'm 21 and I'm obsessed. Almost everyone I know loves it. Kids and adults.

I wish that Cameron died, Amber lived (I am MASSIVELY pissed off that she died), Cuddy stays Cuddy, because she is awesome and 13 would just disappear.

The DVD is amaaaazing. The soundtrack, beautiful as it is, doesn't have quite the same impact without all the scenes and the acting. Plus the DVD has a very amusing commentary track.

Re: 165

(Anonymous) 2008-06-03 11:40 am (UTC)(link)
Possibly *grins* Your head seems such a nice place to be... and give me a couple more days, I am tired, and it is warm in here.

(Anonymous) 2008-06-03 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
137. Oh god, I so wish it had a fandom too, or any fic at all. Those books are great and I still enjoy them as an adult. The last book came out when I was in high school and I remember being embarrassed to buy a book from the kid's section then, but I did anyway :). I love that Coville was gutsy enough to have strongly implied alien slash.

(Anonymous) 2008-06-03 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
Mouse-to-Mouse, I didn't catch Grakker/Snout the first read-through. I got that they were unusually close, but not much more than that. And then when I was older, I figured he was poking gentle fun at Kirk/Spock slash (which I think he is homaging, to some extent).

But then I saw all the work he's done writing for queer or questioning teens. And then I was all, "Oooh."

129

(Anonymous) 2008-06-03 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
For the most part, I agree... but reading watching reading her get fucked with the baseball bat was hot.

...</freak>

[identity profile] crazedninja.livejournal.com 2008-06-03 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
101. Me too. Mostly I think of the crazy theories that fans would come up with and the hilarious yaoi pairings that would be conceived.
134. When "Thousands-of-years old king x the servant who he took in when she was a little girl" becomes your OTP, then you can be afraid of what you'll ship next.
146. You're not a hypocrite at all. I think yuri is actually a lot more realistic than yaoi in most cases. I've only known one gay guy in my entire life. But I've known a ton of lesbians. So, I think homosexuality (or at least bisexuality) is a lot more common among women than men, so it's not wrong at all to like femslash and not just slash.

(EDIT: lol wrong secret number in my second answer, sorry to anyone who read that)

146 OP

(Anonymous) 2008-06-03 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I NO RITE?

It's very hard for me (as a gay guy) to find m/m pairings that fit my experience. But het and yuri tend to be more realistic- TEND to.
