180 OMG

[identity profile] aestheticized.livejournal.com 2008-06-09 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
I thought the same thing! OMG! OMG! Someone else who believed it . . .

I remember watching Disney movies (specifically The Aristocats) and wondering, how do they make their bodies go like that?

[identity profile] hopelikefever.livejournal.com 2008-06-09 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
106. HOLY SHIT, his eyebrows are fantastic. I, for one, am more attracted to him now. There's only so many ways a man can go ">:[" before it's boring.

Unless you're counting American Psycho, but that movie was shit-ass crazy.

150

[identity profile] demeter918.livejournal.com 2008-06-09 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I love you!

I love all of them so, so much and I wish there could be stories where the three of them go off and travel as the awesomest trio that ever trioed. And maybe the Doctor could tag along once in a while.

Re: 150

[identity profile] ms-webster.livejournal.com 2008-06-09 06:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh I agree one thousand percent!! Where are you companion adventures?!

[identity profile] hopelikefever.livejournal.com 2008-06-09 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
121. That's not horrifically odd. And there are non-creepy ways to do it, you know. ;P You could e-mail him, tell him you enjoy his work, and offer to buy him a drink if he / you are ever in town. If you want a shot, just e-mail him and fluff his ego a bit, and slip in a little bit of information about yourself every now and again. Who knows? You could hit it off!

149. This scares me. I'm about to enter in a situation like this now, and that friendship of mine is slightly on the rocks. Just tell your friend you're sorry (and in a secret isn't good enough!), if you really mean it. You obviously regret whatever you've done. If you're anything like me, your pigheadedness won't solve anything.

151. I don't watch SPN, but AUGH I AGREE. Sometimes I just want mindless entertainment and I don't want to think about world issues. I can do that with other shows that aren't supposed to be OMGDEEPANDMEANINGFUL

154. I HATE people who tell me to come to parties with them. I don't want to get drunk and watch people make out and have sex. It's not my thing. I like staying home and playing videogames or watching movies with a few friends than pseudo-breeding. >/ I feel you, secret-maker!

171. Hah, I did the same thing with Tsubasa. Well, once I started getting over my friend, the pairing just kind of lost it's shiny. I hope you feel better about your relationship with your friend soon, or I hope the situation resolves itself!

176. Have you been behaving the same way IRL? The internet will never change your real-life situation. Because once you step away from the computer, reality will still be there.

109. It was so sweet. ;o; Loved that scene. ♥ And Zero/Ichiru is nice, but I'm still more of a Zero/Yuuki shipper~

152. xD!

180. OH GOD. THAT PICTURE. O____O

What!2. A tip: Use tinypic or imageshack or something and not photobucket. C:

101. I'm sure you are not alone in that regard.

110. Lol. Despite being a 'shipper of that pairing, I've somehow never seen that fanart.

112. I don't really like that particular game, but I don't understand the Yuna hate. She initially set out with the intention of sacrificing herself. How can you hate her?

144. And I named one of my cats after the first Frankish King. Everyone has their obsessions and interests. I don't see much of a difference.

150. I love them all, as well.

156. I don't ship it, and I really can't ship it because of More's devotion toward his family, but they did share a very close friendship both historically and in the show. My feelings toward More have always been conflicted and even more so after the show. I really want to love More, but at the same time burning heretics is not cool. Though, he was arguably a much better than Henry.

165. How is this really fandom?

(Anonymous) 2008-06-09 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
101. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I have the opposite problem orz

103. in during wank?

110. ugh femmy uke-type design

111. UGH YES

112. whaaaaaaaaaaaaat

you totally missed the point of, like, the entire game

117. oh my god I used to love that pairing when I was in Naruto fandom

but just like everything else, all they care about is yaoi, and if not that then maaaybe het.

WHERE IS THE FEMSLASH LOVE?

144. Why? Seriously, I honestly don't get why this bothers people.

Really, better pets than kids, right?

And what about people who name their pets after real people? Isn't that creepier?

166. You have issues.

180. that picture is fucking creepy as hell

T!B2. No. And I still think he looks like he's on steroids.

112

[identity profile] xspin.livejournal.com 2008-06-09 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
You sound fat.

Re: 112

(Anonymous) 2008-06-10 06:11 pm (UTC)(link)
You sound impotent.

[identity profile] velvet-mace.livejournal.com 2008-06-09 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
144) Uh... don't you have anything better to worry about than what your F-list has decided to name their cats? Honestly, as an indicator of fandom batshittery, this doesn't even rank.

172) So ... exactly what do you bring to the party? You want someone who is brilliant, funny, successful, famous and handsome. No problem. But to get someone like this, you better also be brilliant, funny, successful, famous and attractive, because otherwise why should they settle for you. Just by existing, you deserve someone who will treat you well -- everything else you got earn

176) I'll let you in on the most important thing I've learned about in life: 100 percent honestly and openness is the same as douchebaggery. You are a multi-fasceted human being, so is everyone else around you, you have good and you have bad, you have moments of brilliance, and moments of foot-in-the-mouthness. The only way to deal with other people without annoying the fuck out of them to be very aware of who you are talking with. Just like you alter your behavior if you are in a church as opposed to a mall, you alter your behavior depending on who you are talking on the net with. Observe what subjects are acceptable, what behavior is rewarded, and immitate it. It's not being false to who you are, because you have many fascets, and you can choose which ones to show.

180) That picture is extremely disturbing. Yeeeeh!

OP 176

(Anonymous) 2008-06-09 01:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks so much for your comment! That's very good advice, I'll think about that.

111, 144, 151, 176 TB2

[identity profile] lanjelin.livejournal.com 2008-06-09 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
111: I see what you mean, really, but I think the actual reason for picking up a game/manga/book/whatever isn't really important. It's what you do after that's important; if they actually start to care about the plot, characters, world, and so on, waht got them there in the first place doesn't really matter. Though I do think one should play/read/watch the canon.

144: I think naming a pet after something you really love is only natural. I can tell you from experience that one never really associate the name with the fictional character in any case (I named my cat Eiko, and now she (the cat) is the first I think of when I hear the name).

151: Someone is stopping you?

176: It's not like social interaction can really be explained, you know. Finding the balance between how much sharing is too much or too little is not something that can be found in a manual. (I'd say that leaving comments just to please the writer might be a bit too much, though. Try thinking of the story rather than the writer.)

TB2: Actually, the only ones to bash body types in characters seem to be the ones who think men aren't men unless they're bulging with muscles.

103. Trufax. XD

154. I was originally turned into a geek because I couldn't be popular, but when the chance came for me to ascend to popular, I chose to stay nerdy because it dawned on me that the popular stuff is less fun and kind of degrading. Good on you for making the decision rather than just being. :)

174. If this happens, I'll start reading Naruto again.

177. I hardly found that series powerful towards women. I just saw it as a harem of girls dropping everything to take care of and be used by men. I'm assuming the manga's different?

177 OP

(Anonymous) 2008-06-09 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm really late in responding to this lol but THE ANIME IS SHIT. You can't judge the manga off of either of the anime, yeah.

122 - Please tell me your theory, ‘cause I’ve still got nothing. (Isn’t the soundtrack brilliant?)

(Anonymous) 2008-06-09 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)
tl;dr they did a bunk and turned up under assumed names somewhere on the other side of the continent after getting help from Aborigines.

I haven't thought it through. Acause of the femmeslash.

122 and 151

[identity profile] doctor-dorothy.livejournal.com 2008-06-09 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
122: I think it was aliens.

151: Umm, I'm pretty sure no one's stopping you. I don't like the sexism in the show, and yet I've been completely unable, thus far, to block people's television sets, steal their DVDs, or keep Thursday nights from happening in the fall. If I do manage to do this, I'll let you know, and then you can repost this secret.

[identity profile] redcoast.livejournal.com 2008-06-09 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
102. oh no I fail and I'm a huge fan geek. That first guy looks vaguely like Keanu Reeves; what's the movie?

103. Well, I doubt your Christian friends are fapping to Jesus, unless they're part of an obscure sect ... there's a difference. On the other hand, you should join Anonymous!

104. this image has been deleted, don't use photobucket

105. I think you can play without yelling at your console.

106. Just watch "Batman Begins" again to clear your pallet, so to speak. Pallete? How do you spell that?

Then again, I have a thing for thin, sickly-looking guys ... am I alone with that? I'm saying, it's not really THAT scary. Besides, Christian Bale took the steroids and beefed up in like two months. Can't you forgive him one skinny period?

107. It makes perfect sense to me. You're a sadist!

108. It took me forever to figure out what the secret was. I thought it was just a screencap of some community (where is that from?).

If you need friends, why don't you try a friending meme or a bar or something?

109. I don't recognize that manga, but I have observed that the things that squick us out also have a great potential to excite us. I love Luke/Leia, for instance.

110. Um, is that ... Bleach? I'm a terrible anime fan!

111. I should do that, because there are some things I have no patience for when it comes to reading them, but I imagine the fanfic would be entertaining.

112. D-. Points for passion, but you never explain why you hate her.

113. Tell your friends the truth.

115. Assertiveness training. Look it up.

116. I'm having a seizure!!!!

117. Maybe you're just really weird. For example, the non-cannon HP pairings I like are Snape/McGonagal and Tonks/Mad-Eye, two nonexistent pairings. I figure I'm nuts.

118. I bet political ads work really well on you too. And that you're an Obama supporter.

119. *confused*

121. He looks vaguely like a guy I know. Well, he's cute! Why not? I had the same experience with Mike Nawrocki, the guy who voices Larry the Cucumber, and he's married, and ... also Larry the Cucumber. But really, really cute!

122. I'm Netflixing that.

123. Seriously, you can improve. Just start getting out there.

126. Curiosity killed the cat.

127. Well, you sound like a big fat hypocrite.

128. Bleh. Neckbeard.

130. 8 volumes of filler?! I don't have that kind of patience!

131. I doubt it will, unfortunately for you.

132. Everyone does that. It's nice to just look at pretty people sometime.

134. Your text doesn't really show up against the background.

135. ... Thundercats?

136. I'm tempted to tell you to CRY MOAR.

But actually, it's good advice. Don't feel sorry for yourself because you feel sorry for yourself.

137. I'd like to have him as a friend. Imagine the conversations.

138. 0.0

I can't even remember who was in my first sex dream. Maybe that's a plus!

139. Apply the skills you've learned in fandom in real life!

141. Join the club. Seriously, I think there is a club.

143. ... LOL LOL BEST SECRET EVER!

More seriously, idiot savants are not really as common as most people assume. It's quite an interesting topic to research; autism was associated with savantism, but it's more correct to say that autistic people tend to have narrow fields of expertise.

144. I was going to name my first-born son Luke Skywalker. Is that worse or better?

145. Ocean's 13?! At World's End?

Okay, you need to watch some classic movies, stat! Get a list of "100 greatest movies" and watch them all! It's an amazing experience. Because "Secret Garden" is a good movie, yeah, but there are ones that are so much better! And I realize that you're probably about 15, but there's a lot more out there for you to experience.

146. don't use photobucket

147. It's Twilight, how good can it get?

148. only 100 comments? awww wook at the widdle kink meme

(Anonymous) 2008-06-09 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
RE 148: We're hoping to grow up fast :3

150. Death to you! How dare you not be partisan and choosy!

151. Leave fandom, then! Enjoy it as a show!

152. That is the sweetest lamp.

154. I guess that's the difference between introversion and shyness.

155. It's not that bad, honestly; the soundtrack and the special effects are very eighties, and I have to have the subtitles for like 50% of the characters (the spaniard and the giant are especially hard to understand). But it's okay.

157. LOL mspaint

160. Lex ... Luthor ... isn't black, right? And is also BALD, unlike Obama who has hair.

162. Hey! This isn't a secret!

163. You need to brush up your grammar.

164. don't use photobucket

165. tl;dr

166. Alan Rickman was way too old. He's supposed to be Harry's parent's age, so even without the movies mentioning specific years, he's too old! But I think you're really responding to a fandom version of him, not the real book version of him.

167. Oh, dude. Leave fandom. Just cut the umbilical cord. Fandom won't forget you.

169. Three years?! Are you a demanding customer or what?

171. Geez. I would actually like House for a friend, though. Maybe I'm just like that.

172. I don't really get the Jon and Stephen fandoms. :(

173. Stop being shy! Tell him/her!

175. I love the idiosyncratic language used in this secret. "My country would burn me as if I were a witch!"

176. Social phobia, maybe? Low self-esteem? See a therapist, they can figure you out.

179. That font literally gave me a headache.

If that were ever to happen, I think the epic overload would kill me, but I would die happily. Seriously. It would be such a good turnaround for the series. Damn, now I want it to happen. To be honest, I never really liked Sasuke(I don't know; I always saw him as nothing but a prick. Not 'cause he's "emo" either), and part II just made me hate him more. And now that the series should be called "Sasuke Shippuden"...yeah. I...don't like him at all. :'D Now I'm gonna hope for that to happen, but that hope will eventually be crushed by the reality of the Naruto series. It...most likely won't happen because Kishi is completely sexist, isn't consistent, and everything everyone else said. :< sdjhsj BUT I'LL STILL HOPE FOR IT ANYWAY.

[identity profile] charliequinn.livejournal.com 2008-06-09 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
My family has always named pets after characters or singers or whatever. I like anime, so my two cats are names after anime characters (Usagi and Elric, if you're wondering!)

I don't think you need to worry about fandom taking over their lives, since my family's been doing since I was a kid :)

(We names our dogs Martin after Marty McFly and Midge, Moose's boyfriend from Archie. We also had several kitties named after characters from "Cats" and a Piglet, Tigger, Buddy (Holly), Peggy Sue and fish named after the Red Dwarf crew.

Re: 144

I must have stopped reading too soon!
