101 - Mods, please explain how you pick which secret is first. For the most part, secrets #1 (now #101) are usually some of the least interesting, if not outright annoying ones of the bunch. (With the exception of the one from a few days ago, which was rather touching.)

146. I don't exactly agree with you on his, as you put, "selfish, lying, manipulative, egotistical guts" but I do slightly understand why you feel that way. He did do alot of lying during the investigation, but he did it for a very good reason.

it's not, people. that's like people saying that if you hate yaoi then you are a homophobe.

I think the op is not saying they hate women, they're saying they dislike the FICTIONAL TROPE that is always presented in the final fanatsy games with a lot of the female characters.

I hate romance books and movies but it doesn't mean that I hate romantic notions in real life. I hate chickflicks but it doesn't mean I hate female bonding and friendship. it just means I place a greater value on the real thing than I do on fictional genre/tropes/cliche.

fiction =/= real life? or does that only apply when you yourself are under fire from someone being critical of what you like?

dear op. hang in there. I'm watching an anime right now where I absolutely loathe the female character lead. the other parts of the anime recommend itself highly or I wouldn't watch but what the creators and animators and writers have done with the female doesn't make me like her any. I think she's silly and weakly characterized and relying too heavily on genre and cliche to carry her off.

that is something that I find quite a bit in most anime I watch, too, so have faith. there are some very strongly written female characters, as you discovered with Fran, but they are not easy to find.

FUCK YOU, YES YOU CAN. You can make something as beautiful as you want especially since you have wonderful taste and a sensitive soul where those special works speak to you in such a way that it makes you want to create.

So do it. I know you can, so don't be so hard on yourself or leave yourself with such high expectations because I think if you create something wonderful you'll ultimately be happier, too.

Loving SPN in no way dictates that you should have to put time/effort into the actors on that show. No worries :)
