How to handle a broken toe?

I broke my toe today. The one next to my pinky toe. It hurts like hell, is swollen, and a bit misaligned. I don't have insurance so not going to the doctor. Should I tape it up to my other toe or leave it be?

His accent, whilst not the full Dick Van Dyke, didn't pass muster for one second. He's trying his best, bless him, but he's all over the map. Sounds Aussie half the time.

At best you might say this is a Londoner who had lived in the US for a very, very, very long time and has a sort of mixed bag accent - technically that could be true for Spike.

Yes, tape it so it doesn't end up more damaged. Put a cushion of tissue paper of something between it and the toe it's taped to to help with the pain. Luckily toes heal quick.

Seconding taping/binding. My sister didn't and all her toes are crosseyed and overlapping. Along with not being an especially pleasing aesthetic, apparently it also makes a lot of shoes very painful.

I'm in the same situation as you, OP, though I'm way closer to lesbian than bi. And I still only write male slash. I think I just like more action-centric, fucked up stories, and those genres tend to have male casts. And it seems unusual to find a series that's action focused, treats the female characters just as male characters, and still has enough homoerotic subtext between two female characters to interest me.

For original fic, I write both m/m and f/f. I still find m/m a little easier to write, I think a part of me is just more self-conscious writing f/f.

If you need to spend the money quickly buy an album on Google Play Music? They're usually in the 10-12$ range and you can download the MP3s to your computer.

I remember the handwavy fanon explanation at the time was that it was a crap accent because Spike's natural accent was William's posh one and he was faking his Spike accent to sound cooler.

Or he needed a better dialect coach.

One of those two.

I didn't realize David Anders wasn't British until way after Alias.

And Melanie Lynskey's real accent always surprises me, even though the first role I saw her in was as a New Zealander. Her American accent just sounds really natural to me, I guess.

If I was going to write fic with him in it, my explanation would be that he's a vampire and all the time he's spent in other parts of the world has muddled his accent. And maybe that his more egregious pronunciations were designed to annoy.

I absolutely love drawing femslash but I'm not good at writing it and I'm not sure why because I can write GEN one-shots with my fave female characters but trying to put words down for my f/f ships leaves me staring blankly at the page.

I do however love reading f/f though, just can't type it out.

Brains are weird.
