Just because you watch a show that contains a bunch of racial slurs doesn't mean you're racist.

I love the show. I'm not Black. I'm not afraid to say I like it. It's a comedy and I laugh my ass off every time I watch an episode because I totally get what they're going at because I live in the ghetto, and if your friends don't have a sense of humor, then they shouldn't watch it. That shouldn't keep you from watching whatever the hell you want.

Though, I'll hide behind anon because a certain group of people is pretty sure I'm racist for supporting others who do have a sense of humor, even though I'm a person of color myself. (Haha, they think I'm a white blond girl who lives in the suburbs, dude.)

I agree with you so fucking much! I was excited when I heard it was going to have an anime although I think it's too early, but I have a feeling it would be an 13 episode anyway and I will reserve my opinion until I actually watch the anime (and hoping that Takehito Koyasu getting to voice Sebastian, it would be fucking win and you know it). But some of them going "BAWWW The fandom will get bigger, it will go to shit!" mentality annoys me greatly. The fandom doesn't post that much and I would like more activity in the fandom. Small fandom isn't greatest thing in the world, guys. Nor knowing about the manga without knowing Japanese makes you any more special.

112. AGREED! I've loved vampires ever since I played Castlevania on the NES when I was younger, and then again on the N64. That was the only reason why I picked up this book. Now, I miss the non-sparkly vampires.

153. ): I, personally, only play Nintendo games because it seems all the other systems have 95% shooter/"let's kill everyone!" games and 5% games I would actually play (or, at least, that's how it's promoted; have you ever seen a commercial for Phoenix Wright? No. For Grand Theft Auto? Yes, many times.). At least, with Nintendo, I have games where, if I'm in the mood to kill something, I can kill tastefully (Zelda, Fire Emblem, Castlevania). But, who knows? You may like those types of games. Well, to each their own. :)

You shouldn't take Philip Pullman any more seriously than any other fantasy. You want alternate views of the world / gods / whatever? Loads of other authors have done it as well.
Personally, I think Pullman was so obviously ANTI-RELIJIN U GUYS that he ended up being less convincing in his views. His story is obviously there to get across his beliefs about organized religion, and I think there's some shock value thrown in as well. He was just sort of obvious about the whole business.

Seriously. His is no more an accurate depiction of the world than Star Wars tells the true story of a galaxy a long time ago and far far away.

165. .. you didn't notice Sephiroth had one wing because he doesn't. It's the name of the song, that's all. Personally, I like Golbez's theme way more than Kuja's or Kefka's, but my main fondness for Sephiroth's comes from the choral style. I have a big thing for heavy operatic choral sounding music, and I wish more FF songs had that sort of style. And I mean, at least it's real latin, instead of fake latin like Liberi Fatali? (edit: Not that I don't think Liberi Fatali is the more interesting of the two)

And maybe I say this way too often here but why does it matter what character/song/game/scene/ship/whatever you like? Its cool that you like the ones that aren't as popular, and maybe it's just that I notice it more since it's usually the ones I like that are being bashed, but it's really nice for you that you like something that's less popular. Really great. I just don't get why it's a secret, or the need to bash the more popular ones.

Here's something that isn't a secret: I don't think an opinion is more or less valid just because it's held by less people. Go wank on gamefaqs if you want attention or to be considered edgy for disliking OWA.
