121The J-drama version strayed too far from the storyline for my liking and the second title for the series (Ikkemen Paradise) is appropriate. I did like the casting of Hiro as Nanba and Toma as Nakatsu. Maki was sort of eh as Mizuki but she looks more girlish than Ella. I could sort of mistake Ella for a boy, but not Maki.

The Taiwan version had a much better cast imo, even though it also strayed from the manga and was more slapstick-comedy. Ru Xi's (Ella) rubbery facial expressions and reactions, Jin Xiu Yi's (Jiro Wang) epic meltdown over Ru Xi, The doctor Mei Tien (Umeda) and his hair...

I guess I can look at both of the live-actions and see that they are trying to do two different things with the same story line. I don't mind.
