There is a certain kind of post I'm really sick of seeing on tumblr. I would love to block them. Unfortunately, the words used all have more than one meaning (and are really common), so I'd be blocking a bunch of totally innocent stuff.

Pretty much all moral policing. If it's not causing someone physical harm, you can feel free to object, but the idea that you're owed something for objecting is... It needs to go. Thinking specifically about the qipao wank, but honestly I want that to be applied across the board.

People who block the aisles at grocery stores with their shopping cart. Seriously, how do you not realize what an asshat you're being? Today I saw an older woman in a mobility scooter and her husband who had a cart and BOTH of them were blocking every aisle they went down. I don't want to pick on the handicapped, but this lady had her scooter parked DIAGONALLY across the aisle while she chatted with the free sample person for five minutes.

Fujoshi discourse, and I'm sick of both sides of it. I side with pro-fujoshi, but the thing now is to fight the fujoshi hate by talking about how hating fujoshi is racist cultural appropriation because fujoshi is a Japanese word and if you call all fujoshi homophobic straight girls, you're corrupting the meaning of the word and the cultural connotations behind it. Which is a ridiculous reach, in my opinion. They need to stick to the real reasons anti-fujoshi crusading is a bad thing and not try to make it so deep by slapping a "racist" label on it.

I know there haven't been that many secrets or comments about her, but she looks almost exactly like a backstabbing "friend" I had in high-school who almost got me expelled for something she had done on her own, and seeing her face always brings back bad memories for me.

People who feel like they are special or entitled to things. Like I work at a grocery store. It's bad enough when people come into my line for 7 items or fewer with 12/15/more items. It's bad enough when people ignore that my light is off because I'm closed and come into my line anyway. But the other night, my light was off because I was moving from an express (7 items or fewer) line to a regular line. A guy with a lot of things in his cart gets into my line not just while my light was off, but while my till was physically out of the register and got upset when I said I was closed. The front end supervisor who was there, told him he could go down to register 13 and I'd be right there to take care of him. I got to him as fast as possible, but he was an ass the whole transaction. And he had 22 items. How on earth does he feel justified getting upset that he couldn't take his 22 items through my closed 7 items or fewer line? Sigh.

My teacher pulling some new bullshit literally every single week. At this point I've moved beyond stress to gut-deep anger and misery whenever I think about it.

This week it was 1. casually telling the three of us who are graduating this year that we really should be asking for time off class to do our "book club" -- as in, studying the books that we need to study for this specific form of English 12, which he basically just gave us a list of and told us to "make a book club" and then it was spring break and we forgot. And now there's about seven weeks left and we haven't actually done anything for this course all year and the final exam is provincial and requires using the texts studied in class for essays.

And since it's a bullshit objective exam for a subjective subject, we need to know what specific things are meant to symbolize or whatever, but we haven't done ANYTHING with this course, so.

I'm very good at English and there's still a very high chance I'm going to fail this exam.

Oh, and 2. found out today (from a friend at choir, not the teacher, so none of the parents know) that for the last six weeks of school we're going on a trip every single week and I want to fucking die because I am a CREATURE OF HABIT who CANNOT DO THAT, I LITERALLY CANNOT HANDLE THE STRESS OF DOING THAT. Apparently everyone is pushing back on travelling the last week of school, since we'd be coming back the night before the last day and we'd have to clean out our whole camp and bring home all of our stuff from the year plus camping gear and it's not going to be fun, but who knows if he'll budge on that.

Anyway, that's been my week, now I have to start packing for the (non-school, mostly) trip I leave for in less than twelve hours.
