Personality doesn't matter when it comes to who has what position during sex. Just because Wolfram has the more dominant personality (or is more "manly") does not automatically mean he's going to top.

100: Many of us are in, or have been in, the same situation. It's definitely hard feeling alienated by your economic status, but never be ashamed of it. Middle-class culture does a very good job of representing itself as normal, natural, and the best possible way to be. Every time you call people on these assumptions, you challenge them. It can be difficult, and people will accuse you of always whining about class, but it's worth it. Class is more than just economics, and you might find that there are things to value about how you were raised and how you live that can make you feel more proud of where you come from and where you're at right now.

152: I have no idea if this actor is aboriginal or not, but I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't. Hollywood has a pretty terrible track record when it comes to casting aboriginal people in aboriginal roles. Just another reason to not see the movie ...

But general middle class culture, the way we're "supposed" to be as presented by the media and the rest of the whole system, is full of bullshit on many different levels, and it's terribly difficult to challenge its assumptions when people are so very hostile toward having their assumptions challenged... but even more damage is done if we internalise those assumptions and let them eat away at our self-esteem.

101. Let me say that fandom merch is fun and makes a great collecting hobby that is until you have to move all that stuff. Only then do you realize what you have is a place full of junk.

A years ago back I was really into anime/manga fandom. I had wall scrolls, I had action figures, I had key chains, I had shot glasses, I had pins, I had plushies, I had jewelry, I had animation cels and most of all I had a ton of manga volumes and VHS/DVDs of anime. Seriously, a ton.

Then the house I was living in was sold. Everything needed to be packed up and moved to my new apartment. That wasn't an easy task. I gave away a few fandom things to lighten the load. Then my new apartment complex was sold and my flat was going to be turned into a condo. Once again, I packed up my fandom but gave away some more stuff to make the job less of a hassle. Then my new apartment complex was sold and I had to move again. More packing. More giving away. (The reason for the apartment blow-out was because this was during the housing boom. People were snatching up apartment complexes and turning them into condos like the way some people change their socks.)

By my fifth move, yeah, fifth, I had given away about 95% of my fandom items, all but four manga titles, all of my tapes and quite a bit of my DVDs.

I had gone from a dozen boxes to one. And, honestly, I don't miss it.

Don't get me wrong, I still love anime and manga. However, it's nice to not have that weight pulling me down.

127. I found that movie deeply upsetting. From what I'd heard about it, I didn't think I wanted to watch it, but I got talked into it last year with promises that, "Really, it's sooooo funny." It wasn't. It was really disturbing and kind of made me want to throw up. Especially the ending which was not sweet or heartwarming or anything, but just really really troubling. And everyone seems to love it and I felt like a total freak for being so distressed by it. So thanks. It's nice knowing I'm not the only one.

Death Note and Naruto are okay but kind of getting srsly overrated. I feel bad too because none of the new anime coming out appeal to me. None like they did (and still do).

The pairing is Yuuri and Wolfram from Kyou Kara Maou. A lot of people tend to make Wolfram (the blond) top Yuuri (the one with black hair) simply because he's loud and pushy and demanding and has a more dominant personality, and because he's supposedly the more "manly" of the two (though I really don't see it myself; they seem about the same to me - they each have their moments). It's gotten to the point of annoyance for me. I used to see them switching it up, but since people have become so adamant that Wolfram absolutely would top Yuuri because Yuuri's somehow this sniveling little uke waiting for someone to sweep him off his feet (which he's NOT), I've come to ship the pairing so that Yuuri tops exclusively. (XP Sorry for the tangent in return.)
