The Joker is Batman's LEX, always around, always there to remind him that he can beat as many other psychos and criminals as he wants but there will always be his opposite there at the end of the day. The unstoppable force to his immovable object.

It makes me not want another movie at all. Even if it means that Batman will take the blame for Dent's crimes for the rest of ever.

101. I kind of know how you feel. For me, it's massive amounts of medical bills that prevent me from being able to go to cons or buy cool stuff. It was only while I had a job that I could afford to do those things and now that I now longer have one, I can't.

But you shouldn't let it get you down. There are plenty of ways that you can enjoy fandom without spending money. Hell, sometimes people in fandom are nice enough to donate money for those who can't afford things. Have you considered doing something like that? Offer to write/draw/whatever talent you posses in exchange? It's not such a bad idea, though I know how hard it can be when pride gets in the way...

101: Aha, oh I sorta understand that. Luckily, I've always had money for food, but my monetary spendings has always been limited. At least one person has actually thought I was/am spoiled, but I've also been really lucky. Like when I got my car and also KH:FM+. Wish I had more stuff sometimes, but in the end... it's just stuff. When I have money to buy clothes I'm planning on going to mostly second-hand shops. Why pay $50 for jeans when you can spend like $7 for lightly used pair?

But if it wasn't for fansubs, I would have never been able to watch Legend of Galactic Heroes, or other realllllly old anime that nobody will ever license because it won't make a profit in the states. So they aren't entirely bad. And most of the people in my fandom (mecha shows) are older people with jobs who buy series when they are released. In fact, a lot of people on /m/ are pissed because they are afraid that due to Harmony Gold and licensing issues, Macross Frontier may not get a US release.

Something tells me you're going to get a lot of comments offering sympathy and cyberhugs. But I know; I've been there. The simple fact is that fandom as a whole is full of middle-class and upper middle-class white kids. It tends to grow the associated drama, and it tends to have a veneer of racism and classism that persists no matter what because the average fantard is blind to their own privilege. It made me, personally, angry; your mileage may vary. Just remember: you're just as valid a member of fandom as anybody on your flist is, and you should call them out when they give you shit or make you feel like being poor means you don't get to participate.

I've watched only really two other full series- Gurren Lagann and Utena- and am thinking of getting into others, but those two are always going to be close to my heart~
