101. Honestly, the number one reason I'm not sure I'll ever go to a con, although part of me wants to. I don't know if it would be worse to be one of the MOST socially adept, or the LEAST - either way, I'm sticking to the internet for now.

118. You should talk to a therapist or something. Self-worth issues like that are going to bleed into every part of your life. Trust me, it's not worth wasting years shooting yourself in the foot.

119. I get this. I used to be so afraid of the eyes in pictures that I could barely handle hanging cats on my walls. I always felt like the actors were psychically connected to their pictures somehow. The way I see it, you have three options:

1) Take them down (not ideal).
2. Do what I did, and PLASTER your walls with various pictures to the point that you have to become desensitized to it. (If you've already done this though, that leaves 1) or)...
3) PRETEND HE LIKES IT.

114. Although the culture is Asian-influenced, I've never thought the majority of the characters look particularly Asian themselves. Obvs the Water Tribe looks to be Inuit, but otherwise it's too difficult to pinpoint a nationality for everyone else to be so worried about it. Personally, I just want actors that actually look like the characters they're playing, and that doesn't necessarily mean they'll be Chinese, Tibetan etc.

I always thought they were supposed to look Asian. Sure, some of them have round, dinner-plate eyes, but that's probably the anime influence. All the Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom citizens have fair skin, dark hair, vaguely Asian features, and Eastern clothing and hairstyles. I personally wouldn't mind a few actors playing characters with different backgrounds from their own; when it would start to get skeevy in my book would be if most of the leads were played by white actors. (Of course, if M. Night adopted race-blind casting, the crazy part of me that dreams of having the role of Azula magically fall into my lap despite my having no professional acting experience whatsoever would rejoice, because my coloring and build is somewhat similar to hers...but the non-crazy part of me recognizes how delusional this is.)

113 - I'm in the UK and I hunted down a copy of the uncut R1 Return of the Joker DVD. You absolutely DON'T have bad taste in movies, I'm not even a huge Batman fan and I know that movie is awesome.

101. I've definitely had some weird experiences at cons, but also some good ones. Yeah, I'd say there's a higher concentration of freaks (and not the good kind of freak... I've been severely weirded out by people who have struck up conversations with me at the anime section of HMV or whatever. Seriously man. Social etiquette, do you know it. O.O) but overall it's worth it, IMO.

139. I will forever be in denial that it'll eventually finish! Mwahahahaha! I cling to hope even though they seem more interested in continuing Legal Drug and Clover!

That being said, TRC isn't that bad. CLAMP's biggest problem with it is they'll have something brain-breaking happen and then spend the next ten chapters explaining it. By the time they're done you're all "Oooooh... that makes sense now!". Like the recent stuff when it was discovered that 'Syaoran' is the son of Sakura and Syaoran. Brain-breaking when it first was announced but now after plenty of cute and adorable chapters (seriously anyone who loved CCS should read those chapters since they're so damn CUTE!) it's not an issue. For some fans reading the entire story at once (or at least reading each arc at once) would probably help in enjoying it.

113. Batman Beyond is the best thing that ever happened to animated Batman since TAS. I did not even anticipate seeing TDK until I watched the trailer where Batman slams the Joker's head against the table (I originally planned to just watch it when it came out on DVD like I did Batman Begins). Had Batman Beyond been on the night I was going to see TDK, I would have stayed home and watched it!
