You know, I never thought of myself as special, so I figured everyone else thought the same. But the more I came to understand people, I began to realize that at least 75% of the people I encounter think they're just the most creative person they know. And it's not that I begrudge them their opinion of themselves, I begrudge the way they act in regards to that opinion.

It drives me crazy to see people hail the pedestrian as something amazing.

I'm beyond PISSED that I had to return a copy of KareKano 12 with half of its pages missing before I even had the chance to read it. Whoever was ripping pages only took those with page numbers. If they're that desperate, then photocopy the page or something.

114. I could see the Water Tribe being played by non-Asians. Mostly by those of Native American or Polynesian descent. But everyone else? I see only Chinese actors for the Fire Nation while the Air Nation would be played by Tibetan actors and a combination of Koreans and Japanese playing the Earth Nation depending where in the Earth Nation they are from.

And then there's Guru Pathik who would be played by a lone Indian actor. It would fit.

I can't decide if this is someone saying that they don't do cons because all the socially awkward people are freaks and they can't stand to be around them, or that all the socially awkward people make them feel bad because the OP is awkward, too.

If it's the second, I say 'seriously, it's not that bad. You just have to be true to your fandom and yourself and not care what everyone else thinks. That might seem like an easier said than done situation, but I'm as awkward as all hell, and I have a great time at cons'.

If it's the first, I say 'get off your high horse, and go die in a fire'.

Why yes, I am a person of extremes.
