And the fact you ID more with lesbianism in fantasy is more positive, IMHO; it kind of sucks seeing a character getting put up on a pedestal because he’s a male, whereas a female equivalent would have gotten bashed or ignored. Slash is kind of like that – a whole bunch of girls buying into the “men are better” mentality, IMHO. (Not to say I don’t like slash- I do, but not because of the OMG GUYS, but because personality outweighs genitalia in fictional pairings for me.)
