YES! Max Headroom was one of the greatest shows in the history of EVER and I have always wished there was a fandom for it. In all these years I've found maybe...5 stories and none of them were slash or even adult. It makes me so, so sad. Theora was one of my first loves. ::happy sigh::

Since no one's mentioned this yet-- why are you acing like yaoi outside of anime fandoms is new? I'll bet there are women your mother and grandmothers' ages who were into m/m long before you were born.

The English term "slash" was coined in reference to the original Star Trek.

Also, the academic understanding of why "women" like slash/yaoi is not meant to be all inclusive, but merely an exploration as to why it's popular amongst many women. The number of people who don't quite get that flabbergasts me.

I got so good at getting the Lens of Truth in like...a minute or less, and then doing the Shadow Temple in the shortest time possible because those were fucking scary. But I looooved the music in the Forest Temple. The original music for the Fire Temple was worse for me.
