Eh, it's not the ripping-apart that gets to me, it's the extreme solidarity. It feels odd for a "small" fandom (I'm coming from a few huge ones, so I have no idea whether ASIOAF considers itself small) to have such a narrow set of majority-preferred options, and it just generally makes me feel unwelcome.

As for Greyjoys...Asha is awesome and Aeron is fascinating, and the rest of them I just...don't hate. Heck, Theon I can't hate. I don't consider myself a fan of them, but I don't have any quarrels with those of you who do. Lots of varied characters = lots of choice in what you like = good thing.

104. Hate to break it to you, but rape IS sex. Plus, there are plenty of people who write non-con and have been raped themselves. Some see it as a form of therapy and healing. People react to things differently. Some people prefer to move on with their lives and not let the rape control them.
