They write this fic that "glorifies" rape, but how is that worse or even equal to wishing for them to know first hand what rape is like?

I think THIS is exactly what a lot of the defenders of the op are kind of missing. Most of the negativity heaped on this secret is because of that one line about wishing it to teach sensitivity instead of, oh, I don't know, maybe using her own issues with it to educate people?

paperclipchains was doing a very good job with remaining calm and rational in explaining why people should be more sensitive. Too bad the op couldn't take a few lessons from her.

While I do understand where you're coming from, you also have to realize that not everyone's experiences are yours.

You never know who's been raped or sexually assaulted and likes this kind of fiction anyway. I do, because the two are separate in my head and the situation that happened to me was highly specific and not something anyone would write about as fic.

You have a right to your feelings, but people have a right to their kinks, and even experiencing one kind of trauma doesn't mean that your friends would automatically rule out writing a similar kind. If you hate it that much, the best thing to do is just tell your friends that it hits your twitch buttons and you'd rather not hear about it. And don't read their fic. It's your responsibility to keep yourself away from things that upset you, not anyone else's.

I've been wanting to make basically this same secret for a while now, but I hadn't worked up the courage. I had a roommate in college who liked non-con with significant age difference (and, quite often, the victim was underage). After about a month of her trying to "get me into it", I told her about my rape and childhood sexual abuse. Then I changed rooms. She didn't understand what the problem was.

There were so very many times that a part of me wished she'd had the same shit that happened to me happen to her, just so she would shut the fuck up about how "awesome" non-con would be.

I'm glad you understand what I'm getting at. I kinda got annoyed at this one other person who was all, "he was an almost fascist shmuck". And? He helped mold one of the finest groups of soldiers in history. That's why he's my inspiration. (Well, short form, anyways. I could go on for pages.
