135. Hey, ship what you want. My one bf loves that pairing and my other bf loves Kanda/Lenalee. Neither of them ever argue with me about my preference which is Lavi/Lenalee and vice vesa.

And I'm one of those people who feels it's be better off if they were all just friends in the end, but it doesn't stop me from liking what I like. We all have different opinions in fandom, and that's what makes it interesting.

Besides far as I know, Allen/Lenalee is still the most popular het pairing in the fandom, though that could have changed.

104 - It's fantasy. I don't think anybody wants to be raped, or anyone really wants to glorify real rape. But y'know, there's a line between reality and fiction/fantasy. People have sexual fantasies about the weirdest things, rape, bestiality, humiliation, loli/shota, etc. That doesn't necessarily mean they actually condone to all that IRL. Rape/non-con/call it whatever you want is a kink like every other kink out there. So yeah. It's not my cup of tea but if anyone likes it, then they have every right to enjoy it as a fantasy.

I don't understand why people think it's unreasonable to respond to a rape fantasy with repulsion. Everyone has a right to enjoy and write what they please, but that doesn't mean they have a right to have everyone else react positively.

This has been my opinion for years, OP, but, as you say, you can't actually say it to anyone without them accusing you of harshing on their fantasies. It's comparable to being mugged or stabbed or beaten - but you don't see those being glamorised, now do you?

These days I'm just happy for them to put adequate warnings on fic and posts and stick the sexual violation behind a cut.

104. I agree. I don't mind rapefic if it's well-written and portrayed in a realistic manner, but it seriously bothers me when people eroticize it and make it seem like the victim wants and enjoys it. Not only is it disgusting and offensive, but it's also disprespectful to the character and completely OOC. I read fanfiction because I like the characters and wanna see more of them, not because I'm interested in seeing them turn into people's pathetic self-inserts that they use to live out their fantasies.
