Names, no matter the circumstance, so terrible that they should never be given to any living being

anything that is basically a wine, food or place
Seeeriously religious names if you don't know if your kid will grow up to follow your religion. I mean Mary is now common. Mohammad sure. Moses? Nah.
things like Euphemia, ect that are just...older. Margarets' in this day and age? If your daughter will be raised in a place where kids will accept that sure but if she will be bullied for having a granny name it isn't fair really.
Mackinnon ect as a first name in Scotland. Just don't.

Gertrude. Elmer. Prudence. Chastity. Melvin. Gunter. Scythe and Glaive (I once met a woman who’d named her sons these and as someone with a name I got relentlessly mocked for, the only plus I could think of is most kids/potential bullies won’t know what the words mean unless they’re told.)

A male character in a manga adapted from a light novel is called Aquasteed.

I stopped reading because I couldn't take the manga seriously anymore.

Nevaeh

I've never met one, but I can already tell that in person it sounds like the smugness of a million parents who think they're sooo clever but aren't.

No offense to the actual Nevaehs. Just their parents.

Goes for anything else spelled !cleverly! backwards

Abcde

Though honestly, there are no terrible names, just stupid spellings or stupid first name/last name combos. Like Abcde could work if it wasn't fucking spelled like that. Similarly, I hate altered spellings of regular names. I don't mean back in the day when we couldn't decide on a spelling, I mean special snowflakes who write Rawbérrte or some shit when they mean Robert.

Most fandom names. I don't think there's anything wrong with one if it's like... a name that's a real name, but a friend of mine just had a daughter and named her Lunafreya and I'm genuinely considering excising myself from that friendship just so that I never, ever have to deal with that.

Also every Scott I have ever met in my life has been a terrible person, so let's just assume it's the name's fault and strike it from the record.

I knew someone who was named (or went by I never found out, but it was what the teacher called her so I'm pretty sure it was legit;;) Solitaire... Not a good name.
Otherwise my friend's mother was named Lise (which isn't a bad name IMO) because she was an ugly baby and her crazy mother thought it was a suitably ugly name.

When I was born my parents were still together and had two cats. One was a big black and white tom called Sly and a big puffy grey and white lady called Misty. Both came from bad homes filled with flees and maybe that is why they accepted me, thinking I was some flee ridden blanket the parents had come home with.

As I grew they became my guardians. In times when you could leave a pram outside, Misty would sit int he basket underneath me and Sly would curl up in the bath in front of us and hell mend anyone who dared come near. When my father left us and we had to move we took the cats. Sly continuously roamed back to the old house to our astonishment so our neighbour took him in. Misty was sadly run over. But I will never forget that pair of fools who guarded me with their lives while still loathing each other.

My beautiful blue budgie that I named Rose (because I desperately wanted to be called Rose, and not what I was called). After the half-day at Kindergarten, my mom and dad picked me up and we had lunch at the Holiday Inn buffet (my favorite), and then went to Woolworths where I got to pick out my bird.

She was so pretty and blue/purple and chirpy and I loved her. :D

What adaptation or remake would you most want to see if you were a major studio head with millions of dollars to burn? What would you make, who would be in it, TV or movie, who would direct it, who would write it?
