135, people can't we all just get along? I'm from the US and it does annoy me to see people messing up US slang. However I feel for all the Brits and Aussies, who see their slang messed up in their fandoms.

128) Don't sweat it. Fandom will still be around when you and your hubby (congrats by the way) have gotten more settled down and discovered your work schedules don't jive exactly. Fandom is one of those great hobbies that doesn't have to happen at a set time of day. It fits neatly in the half hour before you have to do something.

I reckon 'bloody' is quite an internationally used word, but 'mate and 'oi' is extremely stereotypical Aussie. One of the national cheers even go 'Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, oi, oi!'. And one thing that is very Australian too is 'G'day mate' not that I ever say it.

So yeah, what other countries were you talking about?

Hate to tell you this sweetie, but you're not a Speshul SnoFlaek. Assuming this is even an honest secret. Actually, it's not a secret.

Let's count the inconsistencies, shall we?

1) Straight 18 year old girl who likes het, manly men and has never considered girls sexually interesting. 90% of the world, probably 80% of fandom. I have no idea why you'd think this makes you a unicorn.

2) Shoujo and shounen are demographic types, which you'd know if you'd been paying any attention at all. Also note that they do not take an English plural, because they are not English words. Frequently, these demographics are mixed, because anime producers are smart enough to know that a wider audience is a good thing, and it's nearly impossible to watch anime strictly in one demographic. (Gundam Wing is an example of supposedly-shounen-aimed-at-shoujo.) Which means either you're lying or your head has been in the sand for your 10+ years.

3) And while I'm on the topic, you're claiming that you've been in fandom since you were eight or younger, which is possible but pretty unlikely.

4) You've been in fandom for over 10 years, consider yourself being "decently good looking" as a Fandom Unicorn feature... yet you claim you've avoided Drama?

5) Hell, you posted to Fandom Secrets and you claim no Drama?!

I'm kind of wavering on whether or not it's a true secret. If it's a false one, it's a pretty boring one. :\ Hm.

I think I'll call liar. There's way too many inconsistencies—especially for someone who claims to have been in fandom for so long. So a boring false secret. Will wonders never cease?
