126: We're pretty close to being the same, except I haven't been 18 in a long time and I actually really like crack pairings. In fact, I think its more rare for someone to like crack than not to. And by "fic and fanart spamming" do you mean "do them at all"? Because I do them, but I'm not inspired enough to spam so when I think of one I take my time on it. So I guess its hard to say anyone would have ALL the same qualities as you but if you're willing to make exceptions, I bet we could get along.

107. OP, you just pressed the wrong buttons. Seriously. All the baseless assumptions you make in that secret are really making me RAAAAGE right now.

1. It is not canon that Edgeworth is asexual. Unless the creators/games specifically state it, IT'S NOT CANON.
2. Yeah, yeah. THERE IS NO CANON GAY. Even the slashers accept that.
3. Why the fuck are you basing this on one secret? Have you even seen how slashers are towards each other? If anything, the slashers and heteros are ripping each other apart.

I'm sorry the secret upset you! But I was saying "canon" gay as something that stands out more than the het, if that makes sense, even if I am a het shipper.

And I've seen the slashers, and it is REALLY not as bad as the het fans are. As I mentioned in an example, slashers will like more than one pairing with Phoenix, but don't you dare cross a PhoenixIris fan with a PhoenixDahlia fan or a PhoenixMaya fan. Hell breaks loose.

It's ALL I ever see among my friends and it's really sad. T_T

STAR OCEAN 3 FUCK YEAH!

Infinite Undiscovery uses a similar kind of battle system, actually. They took out the long range/short range moves, but they left in the weak attack/strong attack buttons as well as the ability to press harder and execute a special move. There are even "Situation Bonuses" that are kind of like battle trophies.

Radiata Stories uses a very lite version of the SO3 battle system, IIRC, but it wasn't fun enough to keep me interested. Star Ocean 3's battle system was fun as all hell.

101 - *waves* I'm stil here... though frankly, I left fandom pretty early. There's the occasional beautiful fanart, but otherwise there were only a few fanworks that I liked. (That, and at the time everyone was completely into Franz and Franz/Albert while I'm probably the only person on the face of the planet who never liked Franz and hated that he got a wangsty death scene while the Count only got a Plot Abyss. The only time I like him is when he's paired up with Lucien. Because they look good together.)

I can understand if Rodney's not your cup of tea, but I've always liked that he's not your Standard Hot Male Character (though I'd argue he is hot...just not in that pic, because it's a bad one of both of them). Even if the writers like to live vicariously through his character, I think they've done a good job of making him a complex and flawed person. And I love David Hewlett. *cough* Anyway, to each their own!

I wouldn't be surprised. The attitudes of the fandom go to varying degrees of shitty. I'd say both happen everywhere, but certain places it definitely seems more common to see rabid slash fans than it is to see rabid het fans.
