159. *twitch twitch* You know, I’ll agree that Twilight is bad. But don’t go dissing YA because of one crap-tastic series, or even three crap-tastic series. YA literature has a lot of good stuff, and most of my favorites are YA – like Artimes Fowl, Midnighters, Poison, the Chronicles of Narnia and really, more titles than I care to list. They’re aimed at a younger age group, so they’re not as complex as more ‘grown-up’ novels, but they’re also (usually) not as pretentious. I don’t like when people get snobby about their reading tastes, like the fact that they read ‘grown-up’ novels makes them so much better than the people who still read the YA stuff. It’s like being in Jr. High again, where the people who got to drink coffee were so much cooler and more mature than the people who didn’t, and dumb stuff like that.

101 Ugh, this is why I don't really get into which "I am." A party can represent me, but it doesn't DEFINE me. And on the internet I've never met anyone who gave a crap either way. Certain conservative ideas I support, others I don't. Sometimes the Democrats are representing something I feel strongly for, sometimes it's the Republican party. There's no need to call someone a "filthy liberal." Just because they have a liberal APPROACH doesn't automatically make them a Democrat, or that they support all 29387423 views 100%. 139: Congrats, you missed the point. There is SO much about anime fans that draws mockery that has absolutely nothing to do with country of origin. Judging by what I hear about mainstream Japan's acceptance of Anime fans (or, more appropriately, lack there of) I'm guessing you're a person of Japanese decent living outside of Japan, right? If I'm right about that, you should have noticed the stigma of being a fan of comics or cartoons of American origin whilst not being or having a small child.

1. Telling people that they just need to watch 13 more episodes of a series that failed to interest them is the height of stupidity. If it really honestly takes it that long to get interesting, someone's doing something wrong and it ain't the viewer.
