109. I never liked Adam much, but that was a sucky death. And Arthur is a sucky villain. They should have kept Adam in his coffin and waited for an opportunity to use them again in a storyline as more than human sacrifice for the boring new Petrelli.
Besides, if taking his ability made him rapidly age, shouldn't taking Peter's ability have made all his lethal injuries come back, killing him too?
(You know what would have been fun? A mortal Adam, not used to being able to bleed and die, consequently scared of every needle, of cars, of heights, of airplanes, sickness, babies, Mr Muggles licking him. It would have been funny! :D )

But I loved that Maya got to walk away alive. That should be much more common on the show, instead of those random, idiotic deaths for shock effect that the writers are just going to regret and reverse.

108. Then you're being closed-minded and shutting yourself out. If you'd been born much earlier, would you complain about colour animation and film? Look, I am a die-hard, rabid 2-D fanatic who still goes on rants about what Disney did to their department, and has been chomping at the bit to see The Princess and the Frog since back when it was still The Frog Princess and the wank hadn't even started yet.

But really. Really now. For one, a handful of those things on your collage would not be "traditional." They had CGI help. Does that make them bad movies? Heck, even some of the traditional ones did things like trace over old footage, or straight-up rotoscope. That doesn't make them bad movies.

Saying a movie is crap because it hasn't been traditionally animated is absolutely no different than what Eisner and the folks did years ago when they decided movies were crap if they weren't done in CGI. It's mistaking medium for quality.

A good movie's story and heart will always shine through. If it's put together with the same loving craft that created Pinnochio and 101 Dalmations and Robin Hood, then that's good enough for me. And honestly, in anything Pixar's done, you can see the love. You can see the effor to make the medium serve the story. Not one of Pixar's movies would've worked as well in 2D. They chose to do it in CGI, not because CGI was the new hot thing, but because each of their stories would best be told in that method.

Don't be so judgemental.

102. Aria~ I've been meaning to watch the anime but I haven't had a chance yet. (It was directed by one of my favorite directors.)

108. Although I much, much prefer traditional animation, computers are a valuable tool for artists. Without computers, we wouldn't have things like the gorgeous ballroom scene in Beauty and the Beast, or the "deep canvas" painted backgrounds in Tarzan. In fact, a LOT of the movies you show there used computers. I do think there's too great of an emphasis placed on 3D computer animation these days, but 'new' does not automatically equal 'bad'. Remember--Disney was an innovator. Even Snow White used techniques that hadn't been used before.
Also, in terms of artistry, innovation and storytelling, I think many of Pixar's films feel more "classic Disney" than a lot of modern-day Disney films do. Particularly Ratatouille, which changed my belief that a 3D computer animated film couldn't look beautiful. And before you accuse Pixar of being what's killing off traditional animation, John Lasseter, the president of Pixar, is the man that's been bringing traditional animation back to Disney. He himself is a fan of it and doesn't want to see it die.

...Yeeeaaah, I'm a big animation nerd, particularly Disney. XD;
