It doesn't seem like we're watching the same show, here, but oh well. I love John Barrowman, don't get me wrong, and he's had some great moments, but there's no comparison in terms of layers of skill. Burn and Naoko (and Eve, to some degree) are far better actors.

This reminds me of the time when I had a crush on this actor that I watched all of his movies. And he played a lot of evil guys, you know.... murder, rape, genocide, child abuse, kidnapping, incest.... I found him attractive in all of roles - save one. The one where he played a serial killer based on the MO of an actual (and also Canadian) serial killer. That movie was so horribly scarring that five minutes in I got stone-cold drunk. (Ironic all things considered.)

And yes, that was totally Callum Keith Rennie in Unnatural & Accidental and everyone who found themselves mildly attracted to him in that needs to get their heads checked out. (And I say this as someone who found him very hot in Suspicious River and the one where he molested his movie daughter.)

So basically: adjust your humanity goggles. You're too edgy.

Agreed. I still love LotR more than any of my other fandoms, but I never read or post fics for it anymore because all the people worth connecting with have moved on.

Those "award winning" fics are mediocre at the best of times.

142 - Much as it scares me, I totally know where you're coming from. I could see it happening, too, if done right. I mean, like it or not, Sharpay's really dependent on Ryan, and Ryan might get himself trampled on enough to turn to her instead of breaking out on his own (like he needs). Ryan's still ambiguously... something. He's either gay or metrosexual, but it doesn't stop the level of 'ship he's got with his own twin (which again, scares me, because that stuff usually doesn't float my boat).
