137. I often feel this way about a lot of fandoms I'm in, but I've discovered my tastes just don't always align with everyone else's. And a lot of writers opt out of award thingies because they're sort of uncomfortable about being pitted against others, etc.

109 - Nine was *my* Doctor. I'm still not totally over Nine, but I think being as attached if not more to Nine made me better prepared than my friends who are FREAKING THE HELL OUT about Tennant. I'm glad I wasn't following the old series back in the day because this would suck to have gone through that many times before. D: But yeah, it's kindof the point, trying not to be worried about it... (but srsly, what if we get Six again!? This be my worry)

Speaking as someone who had to deal with Six at the time, at least as her local PBS station bothered to pick the show up, he really is not as bad as some folks make him out to be. I would have had a lot of trouble believing some of the crazy-nasty things that Ten does if Six hadn't gone there first. (Then again, some of those are callbacks to One, who was not exactly cuddly.)

I personally think Nine is a more Doctor-y Doctor than Ten is, but I would have said the same thing about Four and Five, respectively, and I still love Five, so . . .

I don't think he was the worst actor on the show, but then I wouldn't say that about any of the main Torchwood actors. I don't think there is a weak one in the group.

Are you serious in saying that Sakura is a "strong female character"? She's a very bad example of a useless bitch that has quarrels with the main character all the time just to prove herself by misusing his ungrounded and unending trust and love. The total inability to stop the loved one from leaving and manipulation of the loving one to do the dirty job for her do not qualify as being strong, sorry.

There are tons of strong female characters, Sakura's just not one of them. She's terribly weak and not very feminine. And even much more so in the pre-Shippuden incarnation that you have on your picture.

I agree that Rod Serling/The Twilight Zone is great, but he's hardly the only sci-fi writer to make social commentary, and certainly not the first. All good science fiction comments on the society it comes from.

170- They're still in the minority (In anime more so then American comics). A growing one thank god, but still one. I'm glad people are recognizing them though. 101. I concur wholeheartedly. Every now and again, especially during late-night college projects, I'd go on a TZ kick, and all I could ever think was how sheerly brilliant his work was. Half an hour to present a perfect, impacting, meaningful short story. And almost always fantastic.

4x08, I think. Good ep, and I found the end really powerful too, mostly because it was so understated.
