The internet does not only exist in America. It's shocking but true. For many outside the US, the Republicans are really an extremist party. And I don't see why I should tolerate a party so full of intolerance and hatred. Its supporters loathe people like me so no, I'm not going to keep quiet when someone starts spouting their dogma.

(By the way, I haven't been impressed with the behaviour of the Democratic party over the past eight years, either. Impressed with certain Democrats, yes, but not with the party as a whole.)

132. Yep. Me too. In fact, when I did an anon meme, I recently got told by no less than four or five people on my f-list that they nearly defriended me for expressing my political opinions.

I mean, if that's a dealbreaker for you, it's cool ... just ... wow. If politics was a defriending issue for me, my f-list would probably have, oh, 5 people on it. ^^;;

149. Lrn2defmore. An actual 'drabble' is exactly 100 words and therefore it's difficult to impart a complete story or idea. A well-written drabble is completely self-contained and tells a story that makes sense. Yes, a lot of people use them to spew out a bunch of synonyms and sound mystical, but done properly they can be beautiful.

Or are you referring to 'drabbles', what everyone and their mother calls every short story under 500 words?

149. :x On one hand, I sort of agree. It's really easy to throw out a plot idea on paper and call it a drabble. But really it's supposed to be an exercise in creative writing. It takes honest to gods effort to write a concise story but quality with a beginning, middle and end in a small number of words.

I just think most people have forgotten that. :(

On the other hand, any writing is good, in that it's practice. Write write write write write. Even if it sucks. And under that reaction, I think you're just being silly.
