I used to play it a lot because I tend to get addicted and I really, really like collecting things. And it was free; I wasn't crazy enough to spend any actual money on the site. At one point, I finally decided I was going to quit because it was eating up all my time, so I gave up all my items and points and self-froze my account. Occasionally, the urge resurfaces, but I've been clean for almost a year now.

I can understand why Usopp and Brook would be annoying. They're loud characters and Usopp, in particular, makes godawful mistakes. But let's face it, none of the crew are exactly quiet. They all speak their minds pretty loudly, that's who they are. And Usopp...*sighs*. I love him for his negative qualities and how hard he tries. To me, that's makes his character interesting but it's not for everyone.

I do wonder what specifically annoys you about them. Not that I would try to argue you out of disliking them but I'm just curious.

With Usopp, I guess it's that he has to lie and embelish everything. That, coupled with the fact that he'd rather stick with the ship than with his crew, really singled him out as a complete assbag to me. And the whole Sogeking thing just irritated the hell out of me; it's bad enough that he gave the bird to the people who've lived with him and cared about him for however many months, but then he doesn't even have the huevos to apologize for being a cock? I can't even remember if he even did apologize in the end, I was too busy being pissed off that Luffy let him back on board the ship. XP I think he did. Eh. I don't know, I'm the kind of person that if you fuck me once, I probably won't give you a chance to do it again.

As for Brooke... he just annoys me, hah. His story is sad and it's cool that he has Laboon to get to, but I... I guess it's just his personality that bugs me. Or maybe it's the fact that every other sentance out of his mouth ends with "Except I don't have any LOLOLOLOLOL!!!11" I guess it's like you said, they're loud characters. The others can all be loud too (especially Luffy), but I think they keep it toned down for the most part, with random bursts of yelling.

I agree. It's pretty pointless. I've done it myself, wasted hours playing stupid games just to afford a paintbrush to change my neopet to a different color. I just like the fact that there's a badge that says how long i've had the account for. (8 years). but I haven't wasted my time on that site other than playing games for a paintbrush. It's just not fun. It hardly feels like you have a pet.

133-I think it has to do with the phrasing. That and the fact that some of the most potent secrets end up not getting posted (like when someone totally lets loose on someone/something they hate with every fiber of their being).

149-You would not have done well in my narrative technique class, where we had to write flash fiction (what a drabble is called outside of fandom). Granted, I'm not that good at keeping it short, but I did manage a decent flash fiction in...360 words. It requires a different kind of effort than longer pieces, and it's not an effort everyone has in them. (By the way, OP, if you really want to lose your mind, go check out Writing.com, where they have 100 and 55 word story contests.)

First off, all QAF secrets WIN AT LIFE, and I have honestly never met a fan that I didn't like. I can respect all opinions and points of view, whether I agree or not.

112: I've watched both, and I honestly like the US version better, though UK was good too, obviously. Though as I saw another commenter say, it's probably just because I saw the US version first, so it's more dear to my heart or something. That and I'm having an imaginary love affair with Randy Harrison. I love that boy impossibly.

126: I somewhat agree about the first secret. I read a fic once where that little scene with Cody/Justin continued, and holy hell, it was hot. As for Ethan... *shudder* I'll be honest, I hate him with every fiber of my being. So, as with other Ethan fans, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree and move on. xD
