I think I'm the only Buffy fan who absolutely HATES Xander. Despise, loathe, detest, I always have - he's spineless, selfish, cowardly, two-faced, a bad friend, shallow, cheating, etc. etc. etc. He makes my skin crawl.

But what he did to Anya was completely unforgiveable.

I wish he wasn't in the comics. I'd much rather have seen his character written out of the series than hers.

no, you're not. i hate him. i hate him. i hate him. i hated him ever since he told Buffy that Willow's message was "Kick his ass" instead of telling that Willow was trying to re-ensoul Angel. if Buffy had known that she wouldn't have had to kill Angel. Angel wouldn't have had to go to Hell. Xander is a rotten son of a bitch and i hate it that he never suffered any consequences for his awful behavior. i cheered when his eye was popped out.

Not to mention good. A guy like Sokka is a protective, family-oriented guy with a great sense of humor and sweet disposition with just the right length of a sardonic streak to make him fun to tease and be teased by.

A guy like Edward is the kind of guy you end up seeing on the news, arrested for having broken his wife of any spirit before chaining her in the basement and robbing her of all nourishment until her death, and how nobody suspected there were any problems because he was such a charming guy.

What's up with the recent Doctor Who secrets that hate one anyone who isn't swooning over 11 yet? When did it become not okay to form an opinion about the next Doctor? I wasn't in the fandom when David was announced as 10, but I heard that there was muuuuch more wank.

I've heard of Romania, want to go there (Sighisoara looks GORGEOUS, the Merry Cemetary at Sapanta is beautiful, the Danube Delta makes me want to bounce up and down and squee, and I'd love to spend a day in Northern Moldavia with the painted churches and a camera), speak a few words of Romanian (...okay, I can introduce myself (numele meu e Naomi, salut!), say please and thank you, and can translate Dragostea Din Tei... ), and have a reasonably good understanding of its history. So yeah... *shrug*

On the other hand, I may be disqualified because my grandfather is from there (born in Braila, moved to Bucuresti when he was two, left when he was sixteen... well, he had to or risk being killed, he was Jewish), so I AM (a quarter) Romanian. On the other, other hand, he never spoke about Romania when I was growing up, and I learnt about it myself. So!
