113. So are you talking about the real S&S specifically, or considering the clones and reals the same pairing? Because the relationship between the real S&S is different from that of the clones'. And. Stuff. I definately think the CCS!S&S relationship was better developed than any of the S&S relationships in TRC (on screen, at any rate, the relationship between young Cloney and Sakura, whichever one it was, we only saw in flashbacks and we only saw the results of it, ie his willingness to help Sakura no matter what, and that was also because of the whole clone-with-the-desire-for-feathers thing programmed into him. Or something. O CLAMP.) I totally get that the whole 'she looks like my mom' thing can be a turn off, though. And the fact that it was a love-at-first-sight thing between R!Sakura and R!Syaoran can be too.
THE POINT: CCS!S&S was better written than TRC!S&S, but I wuv them both, but can still totally see where you're coming from

Though I don't really like how they portrayed Koopa (my favorite character)... Well, I don't like SOME aspects of it. Dennis Hopper is pretty awesome no matter what.

The idea of Koopa as a politician was an interesting route, but it could have been pulled off better.

165: I just saw this short on the Science channel yesterday that it's not makeup - it's his face computer-aged and chroma-keyed onto a blue hood that the older body actor wears. They showed the steps of how they did it and it was a long process. No wonder it looked so good; I thought it was makeup too.

166 - You've heard it many times from other people that gay men IRL often prefer top/bottom-- and some people complaining that the type of person you are shouldn't influence that at all. While that's true in real life, it's certainly not true in fandom, particularly where people view things such as penetration/relationships as some sort of power play. A fic has to stay IC even while people are in bed-- if your shy, nerd of a boy is suddenly GRRR I AM MR MANLY as soon as you put them into the bedroom, that's going to seem OOC. It's not in real life, because you're dealing with real people-- but it's pretty much how it is in fandom.

I've only read a few fics that were done in such a way where penetration really had nothing to do with the mental, and entirely to do with the physical pleasure they would get out of the act, where personality just didn't come into play.

I mostly enjoy D/s in porny fics, so switching doesn't much come up. ;)

Treasure Planet secret is related to Treasure Planet.<3 I always kind of shipped Silver and James, and thought they should've had moar, but I never went looking for pr0n because... well, the pic in the bottom is a perfect example, hahaha. Silver naked would horrify me so bad I'd never get a woman boner again. :|

I sympathize. I actually did go see it, one of the event type things... and it was honestly one of the most irritating experiences I've had. Maybe I just wasn't in the right mindset for it... I don't find the movie to be terribly entertaining, I guess it's just too "camp" for my tastes. My best friends love it though.

145) .... Ya know, I can sort of see your point there. I'm pretty open about ships in Avatar. I ship almost everything. (rare, I know) And I like all the characters, too. (Azula being my favorite.) But Katara started bothering the hell out of me during season three.

I liked her up until the Southern Raiders episode. I felt that she showed some true "Mary Sue" like qualities in that episode. I dunno. She was so mean and hateful to Sokka and Aang, yet got away with it because all the characters were like, "Awww, she was just upset about her mother, it's okay!" I enjoy and appreciate her character, but at the same time she's the character I most wanted to slap in the entire series.
