125. I love him. Oddly enough, I see him portrayed as cold and stoic so often and it boggles me. Compare MGS1's "I don't care about people's personal lives" Snake to MGS2's "I hope I find out [your real name] someday" Snake. He is obviously a much warmer, kinder man and I don't get why people don't get that. :|

101 I don't think there's anything wrong with having an OTP as long as you aren't always screaming and yelling that everyone else should ship that and only that (as opposed to just pimping your ship, which everyone does). Part of having an OTP is feeling strongly about both characters, such that when you read about one you wonder where the other is. I don't know why that's such a bad thing.

I think it's because in America it only showed occasionally/sporadically on A&E with no attention from American press, and with 6 episodes a season, it's easy to miss.

I don't know how it was in other countries, maybe it's just an obscure show period? But a damn good one.

There's admittedly probably just as much stupid fluff in slash communities (substitute, "Greg" and "Jimmy"), plus you get the added benefits of a) NEVER being canon, b) considered delusional, even if your pairing DOES make more sense than main canon het pairing(s). (e.g. Nobody will ever convince me that House/Cam would ever be anything but a total disaster. Sorry.) You get into endless arguments with people when you point out that the character's sexualities haven't been explicitly established (if they haven't, that is) and the best response you ever get back is, "But MOST people are straight!" As if that mattered.

Oh, and lots of people who ship your ship seem to hate ALL the female characters.

On the plus side, I like to shout things at the screen like, "BACK, EVIL WENCH! Unhand Wilson's man!" (like when Cameron adjusted House's sling) for the amusement of my viewing peers, i.e. my mother and sister. Who know I'm nuts.

164. Me too! I mean, I don't enjoy yaoi series because they center too much the characters' sexualities. The actual storyline is either crap or nonexistent. Sometimes I think it would be kickass if a gen shonen series like FMA or Naruto were to end up having a 'gay' protagonist (like, oh btw, this hardcore ninja here likes boys. The Naruto/Sasuke relationship is about as gay as you can get on Naruto's part. Really, it's enough :P) but at heart I prefer the series to have GEN and for fandom to have its fun. Well, MOSTLY I do ^_~ There are those few exceptions...

I totally agree with this comment. I'm playing this at the minute and I love it to pieces. But I haven't dared venture into the wilds of the fandom at all, because I heard it was pretty much 100% shota. ;_; I wish fandom would at least try to stop making every relationship about sex. Especially that one. I can't see anything beyond a mentor/student and possibly a surrogate-older-brother/younger-brother vibe. And come on, this game could inspire some amazing gen!
