Wow, really? I'm sorry if you have issues with the fact that they are socially awkward. Last I checked they didn't say all physicists were like that, in fact they've had characters who are physicists and "normal". But I can't be offended at their idiosyncrasies when I've been friends with people who act exactly like them, Hell I AM someone who acts like they do.

I haven't seen the movie, and I don't know the facts - and I know this doesn't sound reliable, because I don't have a source (I was told by a reliable source and don't know where the info came from...but it IS reliable) - but after viewing the movie, evidently someone involved in the original event stood up and said that that was EXACTLY what it was like.

Again, please don't jump all over me - I cannot cite the source of this information, I know this, I'm sorry, etc etc. It's just what I heard. >

If the first cast is called "densetsu no cast" (The legendary cast) there will be a reason.
They are the legend, nobody will ever be able to be compared to them because they were the first and hold a special place in our (old fans) hearts.
For me Kimeru was Fuji, the other Fujis? I don't even pay attention to them and this happens also for all the other characters, the first cast with the exception of Ichitarou (because I like Nagayama way more) will always be a legend, for me every other cast pales in comparison.

It's not so much about Jack/Ianto and their 'true love', it's about Rhys and his honestly true love for Gwen. I can't bear the thought of him being left for Jack. Jack's a great guy, but he's not right for Gwen. He doesn't need her, he just likes being around her. Bu Rhys... he loves her. He needs her, but at the same time, he'll do anything for her, even if it includes getting himself involved in things he's terrified of. And I seriously believe that it's love for Rhys that's why more people don't like Jack/Gwen.
