All I can say to this is that I'd like to give you a good luck hug. I have a similar problem with the not being able to form lasting friendships online and it depressing me somewhat. I can be social irl, but online, I lack any means of giving and picking up on the thousands of little cues of unspoken language that make up more of the conversation for me than the words being said. Off my soap box now, sorry. All I can say is I wish you the best of luck and a big, feel-better cup of tea.

There are, oddly enough, a whole lot of different Batman fandoms out there, with only rough overlap between each other. It all depends on which source material (movies/comics/animated series) and which cast you like around him (JLA-based fans form a slightly different "cluster" than Batclan fans, for example).

Speaking for the mainly comics-based side, please dive right in! We were all newbies once, and the comics canon is so huge and fantastically sprawling that everyone has a different take on the characters. People might skip your stories if they don't agree with your take, but I almost never see someone being mean about other interpretations. It's a big canon, there's space enough for all of us.

I think she's too good for him. I used to like them together but my mind has slowly changed. I think he's a pussy scumbag who needs to get his act together(& yet...I can't help but love him). I still think they could happen, but I'm not as excited about it as I used to be.

Soooo true. I'm convinced the writers have a 'backstory' for all the characters fucking. I'm always surprised there isn't more porn in this fandom, it seems that if you don't want Gibbs/Tony, there isn't much to go around.

163: KHII had the same thing with BHK aka Roxas. People were writing him before he even had a face! It's the way fandom is. You have a blank slate of a character, but you know how they look and most people will want to fill that slate. Coming up with theories and backstory is fun too.

That story is seriously something else, it reads like a historical fable, if there's ever such a thing.

Hetalia fandom is so, so spoiled. IMHO, the number of not just good but exceptional authors and artists (especially artists, actually) that create for it is kind of astounding.
