111) i didn't like coraline, but not because of the reasons you mentioned your friends didn't like it. there's a huge chunk of the movie where it felt like you were watching a video game being played and maybe the way it was portrayed in the story was a lot better, but it fell flat in the movie.

but i agree with you about the rest. animated anything shouldn't have to resort to crude humor to get laughs, but unfortunately, audiences will usually eat it up.
