122. Crappy? No! Fantastic! Awesome in every way, except for Booker. He was a jerk, and I've never liked Richard Grieco outside of Marker.

123. She might be the only "Only Girl" on television that I like. I don't think the show is the greatest, especially coming on the heels of Human Giant, but for some reason I've cottoned to Sarah Schneider. (But, come on. Sarah/Amir. Really.)

127. Empirically hot. If he played it a little more straight (har), then he could really go places.

136. You know what's amazing about this movie? No matter how bad it gets, it's still not the worst movie that either of these guys made. There's some kind of magical aura around it protecting the stars from harm, which is stunning because by all rights this movie should be the worst thing ever.

145. Holy shit! A Phantom secret! You have no idea how incredibly excited I was to see this. I started humming the theme as soon as I saw it, and then had to go and find my copy of the score so I could play it while responding to secrets. That's a hell of a movie, the kind of Saturday-matinee crazy that gets the blood pumping. That no one went to see it is a real shame, because it kind of demands a big screen, huge box of candy, and the hokiest movie palace you can find. Nothing can beat my irrepressible love of The Rocketeer, but Billy Zane in purple tights fighting alongside the ghost of Patrick MacGoohan is the closest anything gets.

103 Oh gosh, I cried SO hard when I first watched Littlefoot. Even when I had watched it so many times over, that scene never got old. And I remember Bambi not affecting me AS much as it did other people. Littlefoot was more emotional provocative to me indeed.

142 An IRL friend of mine is currently saving money to buy such a doll and boy, do I notice how tough THAT is turning out to be. Just getting the doll is a hassle, let alone all the clothes and other stuff. But she intends to MAKE most of the accessoiries herself to save money. I am personally not into dolls and frankly, I wouldn't know what to DO with one once I have it.

However, I did notice that such a doll community at conventions can be pretty cozy and fun. Meeting people with the same interests and stuff. But meh, not cut out for me.

140. I've been meaning to read that book for the longest time. But I also think you're coming off as just a tad pretentious here. May want to be on the lookout for that in the future.

142. A friend of mine showed me pictures of these and how people just become obsessed with them. I don't get what about those dolls that makes people so obsessed, I really don't.

154. Pretty much the same thing happened to me, though I had a funny feeling before watching it that it was going to suck anyway. Perhaps my preconceptions influenced my viewing of it? Then again, I'm not a huge fan of anything Christopher Nolan has done.

Almost every person has something they love to collection. Some of them are even odder than dolls.

There use to be a show on the FX channel called Personal F/X. It was broadcast live from NYC and it was all about collectors and their collections. After watching that and seeing what people collect, I think it's because we are all archivists and are preserving bits and pieces of human history.

I mean, some of the collections were:

gas globes- the things that use to sit on top of old style gas pumps
old fire extinguishers- not the ones we use now, but glass balls that had chemicals inside. One simply threw them on the fire, the glass broke, and the chemicals put out the flames.
toys
movie memorabilia
etc etc etc

I never remember crying over Bambi's mom dying. but the when Little Foot's mother died, i cried so hard and its the first movie i remember crying over.
But what really got me was afterwards when Little foot was crying and yelling how it was all 'mother's fault'

145. Well, I wouldn't say it's the best comic book movie of the last 25 years, but it is a lot of fun, and yeah, goofy is the word. Catherine Zeta Jones was at her most awesome, Billy Zane was at his most fit, and Treat Williams was such a ham. "No smoking in the Skull Cave." ;)
