Whoa, hey, we're not all crazy. I have one doll, saved for a year and bought about 2 years ago. I got him because 1)I like pretty things 2) handy, more posable model than my wooden mannequins, 3)The doll cost just as much as a PS3, which I also kinda wanted. It was a weighing of which hobby would be more practical while in college- time-sucking gaming, or getting an occasional-drawing-aid/teaching myself to sew.

Pf I don't see the problem in talking about Lolita. I read it a while ago and talked about it in my journal. It's a book I adored, it was written so well it absorbed me completely and I couldn't stop reading.

Also there is not such show-off of their sexual intercourse: from the moment they actually start being lovers, he doesn't include details about her body etc anymore....

12. But people get pissed at me when I just say 'thanks' or 'thank you for the comment' to all my comments.
They complain about how it's obviously not meant because I'd say it to everyone but my problem was there was nothing to reply to other than a 'nice' or 'cute' or similarly short reviews. So I gave up.
So now I say thanks and take time responding to those who take the time to offer crit or say more than just one word.

116: I agree that certain characters have very obviously overstayed their usefulness. Like Matt and Niki. I can't understand why they seem to love Ali Larter so much that they had to write 3 potential characters for her to play. She's not aging well and her acting doesn't get much better with each new character she's playing, so yeah...burn baby, burn.

And Matt, hasn't been useful for 2 seasons now. And I'm pissed that they killed off the cool African precog just to give the powers to him instead... way to fail, writers.

Yeahhh, i love Matt. And Greg Grunberg in general. Srsly, Matt's one of my fave characters and has been for a long time. But... he isn't really doing anything worthwhile. He is one of the ones I think would be better off being killed somehow. Preferably not by Sylar (apparently that's the only way anyone dies round here). I'd be gutted to lose him, but it would be for the best.

And Niki and Tracy are more or less identical in personality anyway. I'd rather they just kept Tracy as a another part of Niki's multiple personailty disorder, and explained the power away in that sense. Hell, at least mental illness is a better reason for giving a second power than 'Hallucinating Badass Dead People' tbh

I feel the same way. I always try to respond to feedback for newly posted stories, but after awhile, as the stories become older, I just don't keep up with the comments anymore. But at that point, I probably don't even care if I receive comments for those stories anymore, you know; I just assume they're out there and people are reading and perhaps even enjoying themselves. That's good enough.

Actually I believe writers owe their readers at least a simple "thank you" for feedback, even if the reader said something like "OMG LOEVED IT", misspellings and all. Fandom does not exist to stroke your ego, and writers should participate in it as much as readers do.

But seriously, I saw the commercial and FREAKED OUT. I was squeeing inside, going "OMG IT'S KITE!!!" (silently, of course) and probably made my mother wonder about my sanity in the process, but still, it totally deserved a freak-out. It's not enough to make me watch the show, ultimately (I did think about it for a while, but then I decided that even seeing Kite's real-life twin on TV couldn't possibly make up for the general horribleness that the show would entail). I ship Cook/Effy, but I don't see anything emotional about them at all. I don't get where you're seeing all this wank from C/E shippers, but the Freddie/Effy shippers aren't any better. I like Cook/Effy because they're both so fucked up and dysfunctional, when she's around Cook is the only time I like Effy. I get Effy's more pissed about Pandora sleeping with a guy Effy's fucked, but I don't think she was upset because "ZOMG, U FUCKED MY BOYFRIEND".

111, I pretty much hear you. I like them together for the mindless fucking, but as an actual ship with, like, emotions involved? nah. doesn't work. I love Cook, though, not because of the tortured-bad-boy thing but because he's the big shit-disturber of this series. He's almost like Tony, less awesome, less manipulative, but if there's any drama between any characters you can pretty much guarantee Cook's at the center of it.
