Finding a hair in your food

Is there anything that puts you off your food quicker? Even if I know it is my hair, I don't want anymore of the food.

I was at a really pricey restaurant once and found a hair in my food that was obviously not mine (different color and texture!) and they argued with me about it so I got pissed and walked out. Had a good laugh much later when I heard they went out of business.

One time a coworker of mine found a whole ass paper towel in her noodles. Like not a little piece of paper towel, an entire folded up bounty square.

Anyway, as the adage goes. Finding a bug in your food = bad. Finding half a bug in your food = worse

Funny timing because I just made dinner and when I sat down to eat it there was a hair (mine) gently laid on top like a finishing piece. I just threw it out and ate my meal.

I once took a slurp of a fountain drink and got a mouth full of finger nail. Not my fingernail. To small to be mine and painted with blue polish.

I, uh, was really grossed out.

I went to a brunch place with my mom a couple of weeks ago and there were two (TWO!) hairs in my french toast but we decided they must have been like part of the apple that was on top of it or something because they did not have the texture of human or animal hairs??

once my sister-in-law found a whole ass grasshopper in her panera salad so rip we never went back.

I think finding a cockroach (or parts of a cockroach) or rodent droppings is waaaaaay worse.

If there is. a sudden crunch where there shouldn't be, especially in meat. I had the opportunity to eat a piece chicken that had a roach in it. It put me off of that restaurant forever. Usually it's some random cartilage, but UGH the wrong tingles down my spine. Can't even finish eating.

Yeah, I hate finding hair in my food. Also getting part of the gristle or whatever that hard piece feeling is when you bite into a hamburger or a tough piece of the chicken. Ugh! My whole mouth starts spasming into puke-position.

Nah not really. I am not going back to the restaurant if it happens, but my hair? Whatever man. Also I find mine cats fur sometimes. Also whatever, not the worst cats can do

Once cockroach dropped from a ceiling in front of me in a food place. The way I silently moved with my chair from the table was absolutely wild.

What is everyone doing this weekend?

This is a boring one for me. I actually got some good crocheting in last weekend, so aiming for that again. I need to finish one of my projects so I can start a balloon dog for my niece. I'll also be trying to figure out where to take a trip since the Seattle one was canceled. :(

Still trying to recover from knee joint replacement surgery so not 100% sure I will be feeling up to going out at all this weekend. Just doing some laundry today kind of wiped me out.

My weekend off so I’m mostly going to be chilling. I’ve been looking at getting a new cat tree and I’ve narrowed down my choices to three and after I get my gf’s input on style/size I might grab one over the weekend as well. It will be nice to replace the old one, it’s gotten a bit tatty.

gonna play my regular pathfinder game on sunday too I'm excited for it. we just started the abomination vaults and I am so scared of my poor wizard dying. D:

Tomorrow cat has vet in the morning, then I'm getting a massage in the afternoon. Sunday I'm going to mom's church with her to help her carry stuff for her entry in the dessert contest. And, of course, eat some desserts. :)

Other than that, rest. Do a bit of job searching. And I just joined a land com here on dreamwidth, so probably getting some fic writing done.

I’m so sorry about your Seattle trip :(

I was supposed to be heading to Washington next week to hike a section of the PCT but with fire season the way it was, it was impossible to plan and I had to call off the attempt. I’m heading to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area instead despite never having been in a canoe before in my life. *gulp*

This weekend I’m going over my gear and packing, repacking, weighing everything, updating my spreadsheets, and generally being a gigantic Gear Geek.

I’m also putting together a display for medals. I started doing Conqueror virtual challenges this year and now have enough medals to warrant a display. I just finished up redecorating my bedroom and mini gym and the medal display is the finishing touch.

It's cooling down but still damn hot, so I may not do much, though I may go back to the library sale that runs all weekend (today it was so heavily stocked it overflowed into the parking lot, which was a little overwhelming. Still, got a like-new Arduino starter kit for the utterly ridiculous price of $5!).

Well mostly staying at home drawing some adopts and YCHs for me and my buddies' GoFundMe and also in between probably working on some of my Hazbin wizarding AU to keep my stress down.

Oh and at some point i need to wash my clothes..
