2. I wish I had read this book as a child or teen. I read it in my 30s and while it was fine, I think if I had read it earlier I would have adored it and had a much more impactful experience.

Her voice (and her almost constant level of excitement) means I’ll probably never re-listen to this series as background entertainment while doing chores.

But I can understand her and I am finding her funny on Taskmaster.

Honestly there is usually one contestant each season that I need subtitles for because of an accent, so I just leave them on now. I think the first few times I saw her in some other shows I had a hard time understanding her, but I've seen enough I get it now. But yeah, it was hard un the start.

No argument from me. Grenada series is by far the best Sherlock Holmes adaptation, IMO. The BBC one barely counts as an adaptation, it's more modern AU that quickly dispenses with any pretense at solving mysteries in order to be a soap opera starring characters who bear only a passing resemblance to canon.

JB really is the best Sherlock but I think Vasily Livanov was a very, very close second. And I think the Russian series was overall better than Grenada, much as it pains me to say. Grenada came out just as I was getting into Holmes so it’s always been my favorite. I didn’t see Vasily’s Sherlock until about 15 years ago and was shocked at how good it was!

I'm sympathetic to this concern. I wish readers would use context clues instead of jumping the gun. Like, if something was tagged "incest" but the ship that's the focus isn't incest, I'm going to look at the author tags or note for further info on if this is a backstory thing or lore, etc. This shouldn't be so hard.
