I think for a lot of people there's an element of 'what would I do if..?' to it, as well as the voyeuristic side. I'm not that comfortable with it either, but I also feel like I get it.

The psychology of what motivates people to do what they do is interesting to me, as is the forensics. It's also a comfort to me when there's a properly done investigation to find the answer. When there hasn't been a proper investigation, then I think it's important people know that and understand why it's important.

There are true crime content creators out there who try to be respectful and not overly sensationalistic. I don't like creators who are ghoulish or flippant. (Looking at you, My Favorite Murder.)

True crime disgusts me. It's not just about the murder/assault victim, it puts their family and friends in such a horrific position as well. It brings back so much grief, so much false hope. All for $$$'s and jackoff sessions.

When the answer is he hates women and cops are incompetent. And honestly not enough True Crime content creators or audiences are anti-cop enough.

Some True Crime podcasters are more ethical than others. I really like Gabulosis on YouTube, for instance. You can tell she genuinely cares, and she mostly covers cases that are 20+ years old. I still prefer the vintage cases she does, because 20 years isn't that long ago.

I really like the part of the true crime community that focuses on what we can learn from these, not the part that just wants to hear gory details. When a podcaster is going through a series on a certain person or people and they point out something like "and this is the fourth person to ask the police to look into this," or "it was swept under the rug because that was the DA's son." Like, here's what you can expect to see when these crimes happen, and this is the circumstances that lead to those road blocks getting knocked over.

I'm glad Lorde was kind of left alone when her new album released. I saw stray comments comparing her to Charli XCX, and it annoyed the shit out of me. Did they not see what both artists did on "Girl, So Confusing?"
No matter what was driving a rivalry between them, they were each their own worst enemy and they'd been projecting it onto each other.

Not to say Lorde didn't have some bad takes, because she said some things that made me cringe, but there's no need to compare her to Charli.

Women wrestlers had to cover themselves from neck to toe to be able to perform in Saudi Arabia, while the men at the same event got to appear shirtless and in tiny shorts as usual.

I hate how the oppressive regime dictates how women can dress, but on the other hand I'd like to see this trend of men wearing less than women in sports more often. Take notes, beach volley!

Why did Mollie Weasley believe the article that Rita Skeeter wrote about Hermione and Harry? It doesn't make any sense. Her husband works at the ministry, and in the beginning of the book, he specifically said in front of Mollie that Rita was a troublemaker. Her sons chimed in, too. And even if you want to argue that she was distraught in that moment and not focusing on what they were saying, when she visited Harry before the third task, Mr. Diggory was rude to Harry about Rita's article about the tournament, and Mollie said to him that Rita is full of shit and writes exaggerated articles. So why did she not realize that the article about Hermione was bullshit, too? How come she hadn't learned that Rita exaggerated and lied in everything she wrote?

Not going to get into it because it's way too much and just, I don't want to think about it that much. But my life is in a real mess right now. Between poor choices that I have made, and unfortunate circumstances, and just all kinds of negative Life(tm) hitting. Can I please just have a hug and can someone reassure me that it will be okay. That things are going to be okay. I am... I don't even know the word for my feelings right now. I am really, really having a low moment right now.
