111. ...but Eliot was American?

124. Just FYI, computer science is a) nothing like on Chuck, and b) hard as balls. It's not a bad idea to take a few intro classes and shop around to see if you really like it enough to do programming for a living, but don't stick around a major you hate because you want to recreate a fictional relationship. And aren't the major characters from Chuck mostly secret agents or Best Buy employees?

[identity profile] a-wittyusername.livejournal.com 2010-03-19 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
Just think, though, that the OP for 124 is going to get to college, start on their comp sci classes, and realize the massive amounts of calculus and tedium involved. Even coding games is mostly tedium.

And no offense, OP, but i'll be laughing when you realize just how miserable comp sci is as a major.

Uhhhh excuse me?!

I'm sure lots of male directors don't have children and didn't pass on their *~*MAGICAL TALENT GENES*~* on to anyone, either. Lots of women choose not to have children and they still have fulfilling lives. Our existence as females isn't summed up by whether or not we have children, fuckwad.

Why can't she pass on her talent through mentoring people on her team or by just making movies?

Way to be INCREDIBLY sexist. I hope you're trolling, you ass.

Meh, I'm usually the first to call sexism, especially when it comes to KB, but I think the OP meant well. I read the secret as it being a shame that she has no children because there won't be an awesome mini-Bigelow that could go on and do something amazing. I didn't see any "OMG HOW CAN SHE DENY HER BIOLOGICAL IMPERATIVE TO HAVE CHILDREN" subtext.

140. Ha! I kinda love it too...it was nice to see her being silly and outrageous. I felt like Carrie was always weirdly restrained, especially next to the other three. She basically never had a legit sex scene...and the show was called Sex and the City. WTF.

The only thing that really bothers me about the investigations on Cold Cose is that a lot of them are solved by questioning witnesses until they find the stories don't match up and someone's caught out - which would have been done when the crime happened. I know they need to be a different show from CSI, but it's primarily the advancements in technology that close cold cases.

That being said, the reason I can't watch it any more is because of Summer Glau's appearance on the show. Damn sad to watch, made all the sadder by being based on a true story. Hell, I can't even listen to "Better David Eyes" the same way again.

ME TOO, OH ME TOO!

Please don't feel ashamed! Even a garbage bug has fans. Perhaps his work is not for everyone, but in all seriousness, I could have made that secret. Zetsubou Sensei pulled me through a difficult time, too. I'm glad I'm not alone. ♥

Melodrama and sadness also have a funny side - it's that optimistic silver lining you have to draw on to keep going in life no matter what it throws at you. If you can laugh at how down you're feeling and equate yourself to that sort of melancholy, things start to feel better.. I think.. You can't truly understand happiness without experiencing the opposite.

[edit oh mah gawd missing words I'm so sorry]

tb!1: I think Ohkubo ships them as well

....Yeeeeaaah, no. No offense against the pairing itself, ship what you wanna ship, but I strongly disagree with the last part of your secret.
