IA with what the author did, but really? Appropriating a culture is bad? I wish she'd clarified that appropriating a culture for the purpose of exploiting a tragedy, especially a current one, is bad...which I guess is her gist. But the oversimplification is...strange. I mean, all cultures appropriate others, always. It's how stuff works.

Here's the context... uhm... HOLY SHIT. Reminds me a bit of that comic where Mickey gets arrested because a police man thinks that he tried to commit suicide, because he had a rope around his neck. (The phantom or whatever the villain is called in English set up a trap for Mickey that would have caused him to hang himself)
