That movie was awesome. I spent the whole time asking myself "wtf am I watching and why can't I look away?" And then I realized it was because I was watching awesome incarnate.

Yes it's a horribly offensive movie, but it offends everyone, including groups the director and his family are in (Jews and French people? Damn right that's Richard and Marie).

Though I honestly never understood why people think het is sooo underrated and inferior to slash in way too many people's mind. Sure some people think that, but they are not the majority, are they?

Perhaps knowing the fandom would be a great help to understand. For example if it is Death Note, yeah, I see your problem...

I'm totally like this (although only with rather more minor mental health problems in the family), and it doesn't bother me in the least. And I completely disagree with the "world that doesn't belong to me" and "characters I don't own" bit. No one owns them once they're out their in people's imaginations. Sure, they might hold copyrights on publishing things about them, but they don't own them. They've shared them with us, and once they're in our minds and particularly in our hearts, they're ours, too.
