Eh I kind of get what you're saying - sometimes the characterization in kink memes is particularly awful and makes me cringe. But at the same time, who cares, it's not like they're changing canon. They just want to get off to Character A + Character B + their kink and I don't see what's wrong with that.

I get it. Honestly, I used to have a horrible time with slashfic, because I hated how my favorite characters were being objectified. I never had an issue with the exploration of characters' sexuality so much as the fact that they're so personal to me, reading shashfic made me feel so squicked out and overprotective - like I was reading stories about my best friends or something.

I got over it. I indulge in kinkmemes etc on occassion now. But - I get it.
