Dave Strider (http://mspaintadventures.com/?s=6&p=002216) is a character from Homestuck and, canonically and by Word of God, there is no word indicating that he's trans (nor any that he's cis). But the canon and fandom in general are really pretty good about sex and gender, and the idea that he's a transdude is really popular headcanon/AU canon in some circles.

If you end up reading the comic (which is pretty great, especially once you get through the slow-ish first act), looking through the filled stuff at homesmut's kinkmeme and the genderbend threads at mspachan.net will get you some fanfic and art. C:

Big Homestuck fan but not in the fandom, so I was previously unaware of this - and I don't generally care for trans fic (I get all irrationally frustrated at reading characters getting what I can't - yet - have), but the idea of DAVE STRIDER, BADASS TRANS MAN just made me grin. KICK THAT DYSPHORIA IN THE ASS, BRO.

It's a shame my knee-jerk reaction to that art is "oh god, no, Dave, don't bind with bandages, you'll fuck up your back!" (Tried that when I was younger. Made my ribs hurt like fuck.) I really hope badly-researched binding isn't going to become as ubiquitous in fandom as badly-researched lube.

He's Dave Strider from Homestuck/MSPA, and he is kind of a douchy little blossoming tweenaged hipster.

Who can time-travel due to being the Hero of Time in the apocalypse-causing but universe-creating game mentioned in secret 6. And was trained through childhood to be a flashstepping ironic rapping ninja swordsman by his Bro, who is an ironic flashstepping ninja swordsman who also makes porn with puppets. Nothing is more ironic.

And also some people like the fanon that he's ftm. Which is pretty cool! Because he is a wildly entertaining and flawed character and that bit of fanon doesn't actively contradict canon at all.
