Well, you can look at it this way. 6,000 people are protesting. However, they are protesting because there appears to be a great amount of Korean media products on Japanese television, indicating that demand for them is high. Their popularity among Fuji TV viewers likely means there is a Japanese fan base greatly outnumbering the naysayers.

Age probably factors into this. I would bet anything a large number of the protesters are from an older generation. It's the younger generation that forms the consumer base for K-media.

The further the series progresses, the more I think that this idea (great as it sounds) is mostly fanon. The time they spent together in part one was so brief and so far away now, and if you really think about it, not all of it was very functional either. The bulk of their relationship has been dominated by conflict and pain. They care about each other (well, Naruto and Sakura do), but even if everyone are united in the end and blah blah blah, we have little concrete evidence to believe the situation would pan out the way OT3 fandom likes it.

That's interesting. I confess, I'm not a follower of T&B, but I was under the strong impression it was the It Thing of the moment. Over the summer almost every anime fan I know got into it, and I have a big flist.

As long as there are more calories/fat going out than going in, you don't need to exercise at all.
Unless you have metabolism issues. And a thin person who doesn't exercise will not be as healthy as a fat person who does. Fitness is more important than thinness.

Mmm, I still disagree. "I don't remember" isn't backing anyone. Why would she think saying she didn't remember would keep her in Joffrey's good graces? IMO, if that was really what she was going for, she would have said Arya was the liar. I think she was just scared and thought "I don't remember" was the safest thing to say. She couldn't possibly have known Cersei would demand Lady's death, and Mycah was killed before Arya and Sansa were brought before Robert and Cersei, so Sansa had nothing to do with that.

Stepping into this fandom was really weird for me because I wasn't expecting the magnified hate toward female POV characters not named Arya. Admittedly, AFFC wasn't very enjoyable for me, and ADWD was a chore for me (twist after twist! it's just like LOST durrrr!), but Brienne basically broke my heart for all the crap she gets put through and everyone's terrible expectations of her.

Just. I'd love it if I never had to read a Theon chapter again, but people hating Brienne's is—I don't get it.

I hated Peeta so so much. He was such a creep but I got the feeling that was completely unintentional on the author's part. Half the time Katniss kept beating herself up for not being good enough for perfect Peeta. Ugh.

I really think people worry too much about what others think of their musical tastes.

In my experience, outside of the dysfunctional, derpy "STOP LIKING WHAT I DON'T LIKE" mentality some shut-ins of fandom can have, most people do not give that much of a shit about musical taste.

Especially when you already have some musical common ground with that person.

My two favorite genres are German metal and stuff like Passion Pit/MGMT, etc. Those two fandoms do not mix really but I've never had one from one side judge me for liking the other.

In fact, my group has had people come out and admit liking Insane Clown Posse and while we all gave them a tiny bit of shit for it, we didn't like.. ostracize them or anything like that.
