Your reasoning for disliking superheroes makes it seem like you wouldn't like any fantasy and/or sci-fi stories, be they in comic book, film, tv, book or any other medium. If you dislike superhero characters because they have something 'other' about them, then I'm guessing you dislike aliens, vampires, witches, werewolves, and any other characters from a setting other than present day Earth. In which case, why focus your secret on superheroes, rather than fantasy and sci-fi as a whole?

Actually, I'm not sure why I'm even asking hypothetical questions here, because you have to be a troll. While there's nothing wrong with disliking a particular medium, declaring that medium a waste of paper and money simply because you don't like it is jaw-droppingly arrogant. I wouldn't declare a film or book I disliked a waste of time or money or ink or paper, especially if it was something popular enough to endure decades of publication, meaning there are plenty of people who do like it.

NGL, there is always at least one panel in every doujin that I read where I have to stop and squint at it, because I cannot figure out what I'm supposed to be looking at. I sometimes think the artists do it to pad out panels.

You can still relate to those songs because you know how it feels. Sure you might not feel it anymore but you can still think "that's sad" and relate those songs to a memory. I'm in a very happy relationship, the most meaningful one I've had but there's still songs I listen to and get an echo of a painful memory. It's not as raw, but if you want to put it a cheesy way those feelings and memory are part of the journey that brought me to my boyfriend.

Also as someone says, there's lots of songs about mutual love you can now relate to, sad songs aren't always better songs.

I always feel when there's a nu-Who companion secret along these lines that I must live a sheltered life because I see more love than hate. Except maybe Martha and Rose to a lesser extent.

I've never seen Donna get the level of hate those two get but I'll confess I've never been heavily involved in the new fandom so never got deep enough to see Donna hate beyond what she got after her first outing.

Japanese doesn't need to use pronouns as often as English, so it probably wasn't that the translator switched male pronouns to female ones, it was that they just didn't have any pronouns to translate and had to choose one to go with in English.

Some people say that writing/reading slash and femslash fiction is objectifying and fetishizing gay and lesbian relationships and people and thus indicates that the people reading/writing these stories are bad people who don't treat gay, lesbian and bisexual people as real people.

TBH, I kind of hope he stays dead -- or, at least, MIA for the next game. I love the Joker, but I'd love for a different villain to have the limelight. But, as reactions like yours are probably very common, I doubt he'll be gone for good.

Me neither OP. :( Even my most happiest memories are tainted with sadness. Like the memory of when my parents took me to Disneyland. It's a lovely memory but I can't think about it without also remembering my brother and sister feeling bitter towards me because they didn't get to go and also that my folks divorced a couple of years later and pretending to be happy for our sakes.

Best memories I have are probably on par with Harry's "first time I rode a broom" memory which didn't seem to work so good. :P
