I seem like a person who won't bullshit OP. You may think it's cute for people to say "nice words" in this secret, as in "Martha was a-whatever-worker" or "The Doctor doesn't cares about that!", but this is just crap. This is not real help. People who support this kind of excuse for laziness are just helping OP to be more trapped into an unreal expectation of their future.

I may be an asshole, an idiot, or a jerk who's way too rude for yours or OP's taste, but some people just need a good reality check.

And I stand for what I said: Doctor Who is not real. The Doctor is just a character and he'll never appear to get you because he doesn't exists. Instead of waiting for something that will never happen, work hard, study, get connected with people and be a good companion for real people.

yeah, even if i was infertile and had proof, my family would just pester me about how sad my life is and how much they feel bad and how they'll do whatever they can to get my fertility levels up so i can have dem babies.

because, of course, my life will be forever meaningless without children. even thought i spent my childhood taking care of my siblings because my parents are deadbeats and my relatives agree that it was wrong for me to have to "grow up so fast", it doesn't make sense for me to never want to deal with kids of my own. i'll grow out of it, tee hee!

Not necessarily. Your response is pretty much the typical small-minded response to un-sheep-like comments the majority of FS followers enjoy dishing out. *Shrugs* I've butted heads with lots of judgmental, self-righteous people on FS simply because I think about things differently. I don't have very high expectations of the people in this community, though, so I can't really say I'm upset or anything. Irritated, sure, but upset? Nah.

You're just like most everyone else here, after all. Quick to judge, hear/see what you want, and just itching to throw your patronizing moral standards at anyone who so much as deviates a centimeter from your perfect world-view.

The only thing relevant I have to say is that my first ever encounter with fanfic was a LotR fic. One of my classmates was in our gym class proofreading a handwritten copy of a fic her cousin wrote; I remember being amazed that someone besides the author could continue a story.
