Uh, no. People are mad because petty fandom shipwar bullshit should never, ever be equated with bullying. They aren't the same thing. They will never be the same thing. Insisting that an anti-bullying campaign is worthless or hypocritical because it doesn't include your fandom butthurt over fucking shipping of all things is offensive as shit. You may not be the biggest or worst bully on the playground, but I'd say that's pretty clearly bullying behavior. You can disagree with the OP without resulting to this. *shakes head* Shame, too. I think all of fandom has an "us vs. them" mentality when it comes to bullies and will never even think that they could be a bully. They can, I can, you can. You're just trying justify it as "Well it's not really bullying because..." but I bet just about every bully does that.

You have done nothing of the sort. You have not provided me with a definition of what bullying is, only try to insult and belittle me and others. Also, you're missing the key word there "Going out of your way." Really? Exclusion can't be bullying?You sure about that? I can find lots of articles saying it is (here's a bit of a cheesy one, but there isn't that much academic research into bullying: http://actagainstbullying.org/advice/Teens/being_excluded.htm)

Give me a clear and precise definition of bullying. No double speak.

Nice derailment attempt, but it isn't going to work. I don't have to provide you a "definition of bullying" because that's common fucking sense for anyone who doesn't have their head so far up their ass they could eat their own stomach lining. If you really want one, go look up the statutes for any one of the 47 states that have passed anti-bullying laws. Insisting on a definition of something which you should already know is changing the subject to take attention away from you being an asshole because fandom butthurt doesn't mean you're being bullied.

What you said was fucking offensive. I explained to you why it's offensive. That you refuse to understand it isn't my problem, but if you insist, I'll use small words this time. It's offensive because once you start including everything as bullying, it decreases the word's power until it's effectively meaningless. It stops people from taking the problem seriously, because if bullying can mean something as stupid and inconsequential as not inviting you to the Cool Kids Club Meeting, then it isn't that bad.

Sadly, at times, probably yes, but no more than anyone else here.

That's kind of my point... that flinging insults, treating people like they're morons, pressuring them to agree with you, yeah, that's bullying behavior. It's really easy to do. That's the biggest 'myth' as far as I'm concerned: you're either a bully or a victim, when in changes all the time online. You don't have power over me and I don't have power over you so we insult, blackmail, etc. in order to control someone.

That's bullying behavior. I can admit that and I think the biggest step is for everyone to admit that's something that we call could and would do, even if we'd never throw someone into a locker.
