I assume it's because crime fandoms, unless there's some hint of a white m/m relationship, tend to be smaller than, say, most fantasy/sci-fi fandoms. I'm a part of small, not-really-slashy crime fandoms and trust me, it's frustrating.

But this sounds like something I may get into. I stupidly didn't give this show a chance because of the TV Guide cover fallout, but I'd be willing to give this show a shot after I catch up with the two other shows I haven't actually bothered to catch up with yet.

It's a crime show, it takes a while to get going (thereby being off-putting to new watchers), and it's also nigh-impossible to watch online legally. Which is really, really, really annoying.

But yeah, it's a really great show.

As for why no one's interested, could be a lot of reasons. I've never heard of it before, is it well-known? There are a thousand and one crime dramas for it to get lost among.

I refuse to watch that show because I loathe Jim Caviezel. It's also a horrible premise.

I adore POI! Irrelevants, hell yea! Never thought I'd see a fandomsecret about it tbh.

This show is my lifeblood right now. Reese is about as big of a BAMF as you can get, and Finch is AMAZING and so is Carter, and everyone else! (Including Bear! Hehe.)

This entire season has been shockingly good to me (though of course last season was excellent too). Can't wait for the next episode.

Nooooo. I love this show but I DON'T want a fandom for it. Everyone in this show is really good BROS with each other and I feel like if the fandom was bigger there would be a lot of shipping and just.......nope. Granted any sort of shipping involving real actors just skeeves me in general, but that's just me.

I want more people to watch this show because it's awesome, I just don't want a fandom for it. Haha.

Honestly, I want to be into this show. I caught a few episodes and loved it.

My problem?

There's no way for me to watch an episode if I miss it. Literally every show I watch, except this one, I can catch on Hulu or Xfinity On-Demand. So when I have $$ again, I'll look into buying/renting the DVDs one day. Makes me sad, honestly.

This is a weird one for me; I liked it a lot, based on the 30% or so of the first season I watched, especially Taraji's character.

But I'm one of those people who has begun to loathe tragic/mysterious pasts of procedural characters. I'm so over it.

So in the end it just wasn't enough, and I stopped following it.

Am I the only one who noticed this?

There is a growing fandom for it but it's mostly on tumblr.

And I LOVE THIS SHOW TO BITS. It's Batman without the costumes.

Finch = Bruce Way/Lucius Fox
Reese = Batman/Alfred
Carter = Gordon
Fusco = Bullock
Elias = Falconi
Root = Joker
Zoey = Catwoman

I would watch it just for the epic fight scenes. Luckily, the plot, acting and dialog are all top notched.

I don't really want to read the rest of the comments because I can't emotionally handle potential downers tonight, but let me offer an answer that's probably new-ish.

Maybe the fandom is a mixture of:
1. Large and quiet. Not the types to want to write fanfiction, more the type that likes watching the show and doesn't feel like they could add to it with fanfiction.
2. people, like you, who have a "main" fandom and they go to PoI as a quiet little retreat to enjoy on their own
3. more spectators than writers/artists/RPers, people who read and review. Fandom work patrons and supporters rather than producers.
4. Veteran fans who don't want to get involved with a community because they simply cannot with the potential drama.

I'm saying that because they're mostly my reasons for staying out of fandom. I've been following two or three things with the consistency of a fan, but reading fanfiction and participating in discussions regularly doesn't appeal to me that much after going through the Harry Potter fandom.

Wheee, POI secret! You forgot to mention that the cast is amazingly hilarious irl and their interviews together are completely wonderful.

It is just such a good show, and so deep and complex; well written/directed/acted. It works well on CBS but I also feel it loses a bit from the CBS brand idea. Jonah Nolan at NYCC said that CBS was the best home for it, and I'm glad it reaches so many people. I just feel like making fandom out of that is hard sometimes (I'm sure if someone took the viewership numbers of, say, NCIS and compared the fandom numbers, the percentage/ratio/statistical thingy would be tiny compared to those for Sherlock or Downton Abbey).

I love the close-knit aspects of the fandom for how easy it is to talk to people (like the LJ fic community which goes far beyond fic, as well as Tumblr). I just wish it had more! Then again I would probably get nothing done <3.

I love that show. Love all of the characters! But it doesn't really lend itself the tropes that I'm most interested in, which is mostly messed up, dysfunctional, borderline abusive, codependent relationships, preferably with a character who feels strongly entitled to the others loyalty.

The closest to that dynamic would be Reese/Fusco, which I would read in a minute if anyone actually wrote it. My second perk-my-interest ship would be Root/Finch femdom. But trying to find abusive female/woobie male fic in fandom these days is about as fruitful as looking for a unicorn in a brothel. My one attempt to write that trope was met with the deafening sound of crickets, and I think that was only out of respect for me. Had I been a little less popular at the time, it would have probably been met with something a bit more scathing.

SING IT. This series was the highlight of my tv year last season, and the new episodes have been, if anything, better. (I love it so much I was genuinely shocked it didn't get axed, because CBS always does that to me.)

The fandom is mostly the discussy kind, and mostly on tumblr iirc. But I feel you.

Except I don't find the magical computer god baby show intelligent. Just unrepentant fun ♥
