Oh, man. Now that you mention it, I can remember a bunch of movies I walked out of feeling mislead from the trailer (sometimes a good thing, sometimes not so much). Thanks for the offer, but I think I will just go ahead and give it a shot!

I used to feel that way about Kirsten Dunst when people would make fun of her crooked teeth, because my teeth are crooked in exactly the same way... but honestly I think it looks cute on her, so perhaps it looks cute on me too :V

If it's any kind of thorough research, I'd say both would be an option.

That seems to have been the OP (in the GC thread's) experience and it didn't bother them much. I've also heard similar things from gay friends, as well as found the discomfort and difficulty of anal to be greatly exaggerated myself.

So I'll have to say that you'd still be portraying somebody's anal experience accurately.

I get where you're coming from, actually. I have no interest in sex myself, and what usually stressed me out in regards to that was the fact that everyone around me would always ask, "Well, how do you know you won't like it?" or "What is it about sex that you find unappealing?" I'd wind up second-guessing myself and feel pressured into having sex, even when not with someone who wanted it from me. Eventually I accepted that, no, I don't have any interest in sex; and even if I do want it later on in my life, it doesn't change how I feel now. You do not have to have sex if you don't want to, nor do you have to expect yourself to want it like most everyone else.

As it was said, I believe Emma's problem was her OCD. I get how it would feel disheartening, though. Glee makes a big fuss about including minorities and "accepting you the way you are" and then forgets to include...a lot of other minorities. Oops. Biting off more than we can chew, are we, Glee?

I never thought it was a threat to our friendship, it's more about getting my squee harshed.. Some random internet person hating on Elementary I couldn't give a damn about (even though that can be annoying) but if my best friend's reaction would also be, "what they made Watson a girl? EWWWWWW!" or something along the lines, it would just really bug me. I don't enjoy fandom arguments in real life with people I actually like.

Yeah, if you're relaxed and you happen to be someone who can unclench enough for it, it's not really hours of buildup etc. I actually had a similar scenario to yours and it -- ha, ha -- opened me up to the idea of anal. Like, wow, who knew?

I love finding fics for tiny fandoms! It's like discovering a hidden treasure, a special gift that is lost to the masses. There's a certain glee that comes with stumbling across them. I would urge you to upload your stories and try not to worry! Someday I might come creeping along and do a little victory dance over your fic.

If it really bothers you, maybe you could make a few socks and upload a few fics to each? Then you wouldn't seem so alone.

Man I was totally a day late and a buck short for that thread yesterday but fuck it, here's another one.

I finished Fallout New Vegas last night (free at last!) and so today I started up The Walking Dead. First episode is done and I'm going to come right out and say it -- this is the best thing to come out of TWD since issue 1 of the god damn comic. The writing is fantastic so it's already ahead of the TV show, and I really feel like my choices have some serious meaning. I'm feeling a little guilty about lying to Clementine about her parents, though. :(

Just one, it was an opinion I actually have, phrased in a way I knew would ruffle feathers.

I understand, for artistic reasons, why New Who has so little Gallifrey/Time War footage (suggestion makes it more epic than spelling it out!), but some part of me does selfishly wish more of it existed so I could vid it to VNV Nation's "Honour."

I guess I'm just worried because so many slash-loving Sherlock fan's reaction was that kneejerk "they made Watson a girl? NOOOOO!" one, and I would hate to have that discussion/argument with anybody in real life. I'm not afraid of our friendship dissolving because of this, that'd be silly, I'm just worried about a potentially annoying argument resulting.

She's not involved with the fandom itself, just fangirls among her own friend circles, but she is super-passionate. /shrug

I prefer this one because it's a Mozilla-approved FF extension (also available for all the other big browsers) and in addition to the option to have the dl button on the toolbar, they also embed a dl button on every youtube page. It's the only youtube video downloader I've used that has ALWAYS worked and it works on a lot of sites that the other downloaders don't.
