i LOVED this show, it made me feel normal...i grew up watching Brady Bunch and pretty much always had secret thoughts that there was something 'wrong' with my family...years later, Rosanne made me remember those thoughts and made it better

sometimes I get the feeling that most people use words like "ugly" and "hate" a lot more lightly than I do. I takes a lot to make me hate someone or thing they're honestly ugly

A bit harsh, aren't you? Tumblr is largely teenage girls. I don't remember being a fully rational thinker when I was, say, sixteen (LOL at me saying this at the ripe old age of twenty...something). Although, I am getting as sick of Benedict Cunberbatch as the next person, I don't wish his career derails simply because I dislike him for no reason (his hair). Irrational hate for anything isn't something to be defended.

lol about the school thing. it's anime, why are you even bothering to question it? she probably gets away with not going to school for the same reason that the yu-gi-oh characters are able to constantly ditch class for weeks at a time to go play card games. that's just how cartoons are

Personally I don't even bother reading first or second person POV fics. First person fics are written far too often like some therapeutic or masturbatory diary, and second person reminds me of those Choose Your Own Adventure books, where reader usually ends up dead in some grotesque manner.

And no, none of my fandoms are canonically in first person POV.

I was going to go anon for this, then I decided it didn't matter. The actor loves the show, if his twitter is any indication, and I've seen enough fanart of him as Eleven to have, if not warmed to the idea, then to not fully loathe it. Although, I don't really want it either. Luckily, Matt Smith doesn't seem to be going anywhere.
