They had to remove her as a character at the Disney resorts because she was hit on so much. True story.

Same thing happened to the Tarzan and Jack Sparrow characters.

Yep, there was a real treehouse (or at least a set that resembles one, which is more likely but would be kind of a letdown), and from what I recall, it was HUGE. There were at least two levels used at various points, with all sorts of cool little add-ons and features, and even more that I never saw, only knowing they were there because of stairs leading up in the background. Even if it's "just" a three-story treehouse, that would still be incredible...

I get this. I've questioned myself a lot. I don't think we necessarily have to fight the confusion.

One can only imagine.

Here's a secret: everybody's faking the hell out of it.

Our lives are so shitty and stressful, that even people without actual mental issues to handle are just putting on a brave face. They have moments of hopelessness, too. I think everybody has days where everything just feels awful and they just want to curl up under a rock and make it all go away.

You're not alone in this feeling, and it doesn't make you any less capable. Determination can be a damn strong glue. You'll make it, you just have to want to make it even after the crappy feelings and shitty days.

/hugs

Yes. Do all of this. And I even Tumblr Savior usernames of people who have given me trouble or I might think give me trouble so I don't have to see them come across my dash.

I've coasted through almost two years in a depressed fog accomplishing absolutely nothing. Today I spend six hours laying in bed day dreaming. I have no idea how to fix myself. A part of me wants to, is struggling to fight and live, but most of me is just this fog of nothing. It's taking all my energy just to stay alive, but I'm not really living. I don't know what to do.

OMG this. I had a friendship go down the drain because they were more concerned with their appearance online than our friendship.

The thing is, the burden of proof is on you. If you claim that a certain kind of behaviour is wrong, then it is up to you to validate that claim with arguments. You can't just pull the 'all opinions are equally valid' card, because they're not. You make a judgement, so you need to make a convincing case. Until you do, the other side has the stronger position.

As I posted here (and boy it's nice not being anon and actually have html without captcha in my way!), I'm looking for inspirations, so any weirdo crossover, AU or rarepair prompts you've got? Throw them at me and I'll see what I can do. I have way too many fandoms to list and if your canon is small enough I'll take it in just to write something for you (I did similar things for Yuletide, this would be nothing new), so just ask!

Thanks guys!

Are you a college student? If so, many times counseling is free on campus. I would recommend you see a counselor who can introduce you to a support network. You might also try the local health department.

This is my problem, too.

I think people have every right to not only limit the conditions under which they would have sex, but also reject partners for having too high a "number" (however they define "too high") if they wish, but when it comes to labeling people sluts, I can't get past the fact that there is just no real dividing line between "slut" and "not slut." There are definitely situations in which I think sex would be inadvisable, but I don't think having sex in those situations that makes someone a slut, just maybe kind of dumb.

I am probably both a slut and a frigid prude, depending on who you ask.

Well now I've gone off on a tangent listing every word I can think of that rhymes with -ump.

I don't think I get any points for "weird", but dark cabaret and electroswing. I think the dark cabaret stuff is falling out of popularity (compared to what it was before) but electroswing is really taking off.

I was at a party with my friends a while ago and I mentioned a very obscure song related to the subject matter at hand only to find out of my friends knows, loves, and can sing the entire song by heart.

DA - I think if you're careful, you can use it on the outside areas...? It's the mucous membranes that you have to worry about. But still, there's no way I'd put something designed to burn my hair off anywhere near my bits >_______>

Juicy.

Internet words like "feels" bother me to a ridiculous degree.

I think this is some of the best advice I've seen in this thread.

Re: Non-fandom Secrets

(Anonymous) 2013-02-12 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
Well, okay, but...you've got to actually explain your opinion, here. There's nothing wrong with having a different perspective on things, but you aren't going to get very far if you just say, "I have this view and I'm proud of it, the end!"

What makes a slut? Why is it wrong to be one? What beliefs/morals/values inform the standard that you've developed? Why do you think that your standard is better than the one that you find to be the most common? Do you think that the other standard causes some manner of harm? If so, what? In other words: what is the reasoning behind your position, and are you prepared to defend it?

As long as you don't think all atheists are militant, then, I guess.

I found those things especially appealing, apart from the nonexistent nonexistent waist, on account of it being a perfectly ordinary-by-Disney's-standards existing waist.
